Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

DH and I don't have any family here in SC so we are traveling for Christmas this year so I was kinda hoping to have the baby to take with us.

My birthday is New Years Eve so that would be nice to share a birthday too.

I didn't think about it all too much to be honest. Just BD'ing my life away!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

Honestly, I have not given it much thought. Since we have been TTC so long, I will be happy with a baby no matter what month it is.

When we first started, I wanted a spring baby so badily (Dh is a winter & I am a fall). I also SWORE, I would never be fully PG in the summer but things don't go as planned. I will appreciate being pregnant at any point now Chat Icon

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

Originally I wanted a Spring/Summer baby. My DS was born in Nov and I didn't want their birthdays together and Oct has 8 birthdays in it for my family.

But at this point after trying so long I will be happy for a baby in any month. Chat Icon

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

If there was a way I could control this, believe me I would-- but, with TTC you just can't.

I think at this point, if I were to get PG this cycle (depending on when I O), the EDD would be the beginning of Dec, so I think that's better than the end of the month.

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

Originally, I always said that I do not want to give birth during the holidays. But now, it doesn't matter. You can't dictate life. So I will be happy with whatever month I deliver in.

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

I am a December baby (the 9th) and it isn't that bad. I still got birthday presents and a party, seperate from Christmas. All my friends thought it must have been terrible, but I love being a December babyChat Icon

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

Originally I didn't want to try this month because DD's birthday is already in December, but I just want another baby, so we're going for it!

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

Even with my birthday WHICH I HATE on Dec. 26 and my DD only marginally better on Jan. 6th, I would still be thrilled to get a BFP this month if I end up being out in a couple of days. The due date would be Dec. 15 if I were to conceive. Chat Icon

It won't really matter to me. There are really cool things about any time of the year.

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

If I get preggo this cycle, my due date will be right around Thanksgiving. If I get preggo next cycle, I'd be due sometime between Christmas & New Years. Due dates are really just an estimate anyway, but even if I did deliver on the holiday, I won't care. I just want to be pregnant no matter when I'm due.

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

I have to admit that I did think about it... I would love to have a child in the summer so outdoor birthdays would be possible (yes I am an insane party planner).

That being said, I would be happy with a BFP and healthy pregnancy in any month.

Re: Ridiculous Q #455: December Births

I just had to giggle at little at the December Birth idea...and to let you know it wouldn't be as bad as our family. We have so many December births.

Grandfather 4th
My mom 10th
Me 11th
Brother's gf 12th
My FIL 26th
My sister the 27th

Oh, then we have x-mas in there. Our family HATES this time of year...too many birthdays.

Well praying that this is my cycle, and if so, I'll be due November 18th-ish, around Thanksgiving. If not, and I have to wait til next cycle, I'll be due right around Christmas. Honestly, I don't care, just let me be pregnant.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
