Was my lock picked??

OK, so weird doorknob issue...I'm paranoid someone tried to pick our lock. I came home after errands and my key wouldn't go more than halfway into the lock. I look at the lock and the outside is normal, but the inside has been turned or something and you can see the key part isn't lining up. I get in through our back door, try locking/unlocking the jammed lock and it's not budging. No matter what I try with the key it won't budge. So...did someone try to pick my lock or did my lock mysteriously break on its own??

maybe the tumblers inside went bad or whatever
this happened to my friends truck she stopped at my house and when she went to start her car the would not turn it was so weird

BTW, this could've happened any time between DH getting home from work last night or me coming home today around lunch.

Also...went to ACE hardware and the (young, teenage) guy wouldn't rule out someone picking the lock but said it could break on its own. Hmmm...

i think it could have just been a random lock breaking issue.
