What happens if for your digi camera you lock your memory card as opposed to not locking it...

I never noticed this before, I think it may have to do with deleting pics, but I am not sure.. TIAChat Icon

If you lock it, you can't delete pics -- however you also can't write to it which means you can't take pics.
