So scary... thank God DH is ok....
I went to sleep last night before DH came home. He was out to dinner with one of his daughters.
The phone rings at 10 to midnight - I wake up and realize the bed is empty.
It was DH.
He was on his way home, and was on Woodbury Road.
Some M*F*er in a friggen pickup trick was apparently in quite a rush, and since his rush was more important than anyone else on the road, he decided that the person in front of him was going too fast, and went around him. Woodbury road is a one lane road, and has no passing lane.
So this M*F*er who had no regard for anyone else hit a car who was not doing anything wrong, who was just driving in the correct lane on his/her way to somewhere else head on. 
So, really, that ashole never really wound up at his location. I wonder if he would have preferred 5 minutes later than this????
This happened in front of DH, who stopped short along with the other cars who did the same... thank God...
But, a few cars behind them didn't realize what happened, and hit each other in a rear ender.
So there he was - completely stuck on Woodbury road smack dab in a 4 way collision.
He couldn't go until the entire road was clear. He was there for hours... After being up since 4, as he always is...
Then, as he was finally ready to go, he ran out of gas... he was running on fumes but had enough to get home if this didn't happen... So the firefighters clearing the accident helped him get gas after the cleared the road....
I couldn't help but think what if he was on the others ide of the road.
Or if one of us was on the other side of the road with Cailen in the car....
All because there are people like this on the road, who feel they have every right to put everyone else in danger because they are more important than anyone else. Could they ever live with themselves if they killed someone doing this? Or killed a child?
When DH kissed me goodbye this morning, I told him to just thank god all day that he was on the right side of the road....

That's terrifying!
People drive like absolute lunatics. I'm honestly dumbfounded by the pure selfishness I see on the roads these days.

I get soo mad when I see people drive like that. Rush, rush, rush and they are soo much more important then you.

I give up trying to figure out drivers these days. It seems we here about a fatal accident everyday because of reckless driving. People just don't seem to get it.

I am on the LIE or NS at least 3 times a week. These kids drive by me doing 100 mph and I call the police. Really-I get their license plates and call the police.
I should be at risk because they are irresponsible? Uh huh-don't think so-hopefully a hefty fine and a court date will make them think about their speed in the future
