Happy Animal Nursery! (That's what I usually tell DW on the morning of our Anniversary. )
We don't do very much, usually just acknowledge it, and send each other some free e-cards while she's home and I'm at work.
However, that's something that we've both agreed to over the years. I would never do that without discussing it with DW. I used to do more, but over the years, we mutually agreed to not make a big deal about it.
ETA: You are definitely not being selfish. You have every right to expect something from DH.
