Painting suggestions (add yours or just look)
This is Leeners nursery. I LOVE IT!!! AND she did it herself.
My question is
How do you feel about pink and sage stripes?
Think it will look funny?
I can't decide if I want to piant the room sage or pink. So I thought maybe I can do both. Furniture is white and the room will have a shabby chic effect.
TIA Carolyn

Re: Painting suggestions
I think pink and sage look lovely together!! But iw ould lean towrad a lighter shade of both colors. VERY SOOTHING I think! And a light pink wall on top of a bright white chair rail would look great IMO! What color will be furniture be?

Re: Painting suggestions
I love how she painted the walls.
I think pink & sage stipes and then pink or sage top would work, just depends on which color you want more of.
ETA: What do you mean by normal and light?
What bedding are you getting?

Re: Painting suggestions
I'm thinking the light too. Warmer tones might blend better together. I agree. Oh, white furniture. Thanks

Re: Painting suggestions
My sister did sage & pink in her DDs bedroom - it came out really cute. It's a great color combo.

Re: Painting suggestions
Normal....meaning not too light and not too bright. Somewhere in the middle.
I have the Wendy Bellissimo's Vintage Teaberry. However, when they have toddler bedding I will get something shabby chic looking. It'll be stipes and floral of some kind.

Re: Painting suggestions
I think the sage and light pink could work, but I would get paint samples and test it out first.
We're doing the shabby chic thing too. We went with light pink and white stripes and we're using a border instead of a chair rail (b/c we live in a rental). And we have a sage green chandelier.
Here's how is looks so far. The border is going up this weekend.

Please post pics asap after it's up!!! it looks fantastic. How funny, I saw your chandelier and i got jealous. I have the same one except mine is white. I had the choice of white or pink and for some reaosn I chose white. they didn;t have green at the time. i bet you we bought it from the same place? I got mine on e-bay. It's the same one. I'll have to show you mine. it's been sitting in a box for a year now. I feel like the hous eis never going to be done.

I think the colors look great together. We just finished painting my DD's nursery in light pink and sage green. I didn't do stripes, but I'll attach a picture and you can try to envision it with stripes! Image Attachment(s):

We did Pink and Green stripes in my Daughters Big Girl room. Not soft, but for a nursery soft pink and sage will look beautiful.impo.

Re: Painting suggestions
I painted stripes on the bottom of DD#1's room. We have dark pink(a wide stripe)white(a thin stripe) , light pink(a wide stripe) and white (a thin stripe). In that sequence. You could always do wider of one color and thin of another.

Re: Painting suggestions
If you're going to do pink and green vertical stripes, don't make them the same width, it will look lik ea circus tent. I like the look of varying sized stripes- really it's not hard.
