I'm having a bad week
So I have had bad sciatica during pregnancy and after that. So I finally suc*ked it up and went to the doctor on Saturday. I had to fill out the form that gives medical backround bc this was a new doctor. I had to check off that I had been pregnant once, and it was a pre-term pregnancy that was ended at 20 wks.
The nurse comes in, asks some questions, then asks when did the pain start. So I said when I was pregnant it started, but I had to end the pregnancy early at 20 weeks. So she goes on to do my blood pressure etc...then says,
"So how is the baby doing?" with a smile on her face. I just looked at her, and started bawling in the doctors office, and barely got out of my mouth that I didn't get to keep him, and explained why.
The nurse then proceeded to apologize...but why didn't she read my chart? She made me so upset.
As for the sciatica, I have a space between my vertebrae that is 'narrowing' which is pinching my nerves. I am a miserable person in pain this week. Oh, and we had the baby 1 month ago yesterday.

OMG, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. What an idiot that nurse was - she obviously not only didn't read your chart, but didn't listen to you, either.

OMG.. Hon I am so sorry. She really should have read the chart. I am so sorry that happened to you. I can't even begin to imagine how tough today was for you. I really hope that you start to feel better physically and emotionally (although that will take time). Sigh.. hang in there.

Jeezus!!! People are so dense! You told her that you had to end the pregnancy for crying out loud!! I'm so sorry that you had such a horrible experience at the doctor sweetie. Hope your back is feeling better and better everyday.

that was horrible for her to say! she should have read the chart. I cant imagine the pain you are going through. So sorry!

OMG i am so mad for you! to have to actually go thru it is one thing, and to have someone so dense and uncaring ask you about it is another...
i really hope you feel better soon, and i can't wait until you are be back on the TTC train with the rest of us!

so sorry hun I hope tommorow is a better day for you.
As for the back pain, I can relate! I have a clicking going on in my back irght now, some kind of herniated disk or something. I hope you feel relief soon. Always here if you need to talk
