Tree Skirts
I am looking to buy a new tree skirt this year but haven't been overly impressed with anthing I've seen. I checked Target, Kohl's and Michaels.
I am not looking for anything overly expensive. Under $40. (I'm tempted to add in that I'm of the working class, so that really is my budget, but hey, would that create controversy?)
Does anyone else have any ideas where I can look?

Re: Tree Skirts
yeah, home goods is the way to go if you didn't find one you liked in target... (although I always seem to find everything there ... including our tree skirt a couple years ago.. complete with matching stockings I think I paid exactly $40 for it, now that you mention the magic #.... )

Re: Tree Skirts
I have a beautiful one from the X-mas Store in Downtown Port Jefferson.
FYI, around X-mas they have a real reindeer in a pen for the kids to see!

Saw some really nice ones at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago and they were only $25 i think...not sure if they are still there.

Re: Tree Skirts
You might want to check craft fairs too. My great aunt made my mom a beautiful patchwork quilted one that is edged in lace. I've seen similar ones at craft fairs in the past.
ETA: When I was a kid my mom bought a piece of holiday fabric she liked and just draped it around the tree stand like a tree skirt, but it wasn't finished properly. Nobody could tell, people used to ask her all the time to make them one like it.
