I wound up just getting the snap and go. I figured I would wait and see what I needed beyond that. When DS was 4 months old, we bought a Maclaren. I really haven't felt like anything else was necessary. - HTH

The purpose of the pram in my opinion is basically the same as having a nice car that you dont need. It is a bassinet so the baby can lie down....the baby will outgrow it fast but you can purchase a harness and use it longer....
I mean no one needs a pram....its just gorgous though,...I love mine!!! If you have the money or someone is going to get you...why not right?

See T, you have your benz...i have my pram...heheh..it all depends on what makes a person happy, yes i can live without my pram but my parenst bought me one....im not gonna return it, i love it...do you have pics of your new truck Theresa? godd luck with it....

I got a snap n go, Maclaren Techno and Pliko P3 (hand me down). I love prams though...I agree they are pricey and not a necessity but if you have the $$ why not.

So overwhelming  . . . for now, my plan is to get one master stroller that does it all - can use the bassinett or car seat, then it converts to a stroller. Which one that is has yet to be determined. So far, I like:
Bugaboo (buts it doesn't fold so easily)
Quinny Buzz (but DH hates it)
Rockstar stroller

I def have the money.. that is never an issue. .I got a 1000 diaper bag, but I am having a baby in December so by the time she is able to be walked outside in April or May I find it not being pratical.... thats all..
You need a car, so you can't compare. and its like anything else if you want a luxury car you go for it.. I need a car and now we need a truck.. Sofia and her entoruage of items are just not cutting it in an E class benz..

this statement insulted me..

yes we need cars, but i was saying its the difference between a 15,000 car and a 60,000 car, either will do the job...just like as long as your stroller is safe, it will do the job...even if it is a free hand me down...and it strolls.... of course....LOL

I love my chicco...just to clear up what i meant...i got a pram, it was a gift...not in a billion years could i afford to buy myself one nor would i buy myself one...i drive a 2003 jeep and live in a 2 bedroom shack... that i call my home...i am very happy with my life...no extra $$$ and my chicco stroller...thanks :)

I have the Peg Perego Pliko 3 and the Maclaren Techno
While Ds was in the peg perego infant seat, I was able to snap it in the peg perego stroller (very easy)
For quick errands I use the Maclaren~

Bc the statement implied I couldn't afford something.. How does one know what someones finances are?
Like if I want to get a stroller that is 199.99 does that make me cheap or something because I didn't spend 1k on a pram? I felt the travel system worked best for me and my Sofia..

I don't think anyone implied that you couldn't afford a pram.
Just because you have a $1000 diaper bag doesn't mean you are loaded either.
To each his own for what they choose to spend their $$ on, no one is judging you, and you don't need to defend yourself either....
