Britney’s Breakdown — Tears and Possible Jail Time
Britney Spears broke down into tears as she entered her lawyer’s office on Friday in Los Angeles.
“She pulled up in the car, and then suddenly tears started streaming down her face,” one eyewitness tells OK!.
Brit received news from the Los Angeles City Attorney that she was charged with one count of hit-and-run causing property damage and driving without a valid license.
“According to the DMV, Ms. Spears was never issued a California license – ever,” City Attorney’s spokesman Frank Mateljan told People.
This all stems from a fender-bender in a Los Angeles parking lot on August 6.
Brit faces a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail for each of the two misdemeanors. A hearing is set for October 10 in Van Nuys Superior Court.

If she wasn't Britney and plastered all over the media with her issues, she would never step foot in our jails for something like this. I have a feeling that if she treats this like she is treating everything else they will persue time to make an example out of her.

Wait, she's NEVER had a license?? Why was she not charged with driving w/o a license way back when she had her kid on her lap instead of in a car seat? Seems like a pretty big oversight.
I'll never understand what makes famous people think they're not subject to the same laws as the rest of society. You'd think they'd be even MORE careful, since they're being watched constantly.

just proves that celebs really do think they are above the law and think they get special treatment! how do you drive around all these years and have hundreds and hundreds of pics taken of you while driving and you know that you NEVER had a drivers license?????
