Did this happen to anyone else post-partum - night "sweats"?
For the past few days (4 days) I have been waking up a few times a night drenched in sweat - but I am not cold or hot. Sometimes to the point I need to change my clothes. I talked to dr. about it when it first happened and he said it is normal - due to the hormones leaving my body.
But, it has been happening every night now, a few times a night, for a few nights and I am thinking this is alot - did anyone else have this? I am 2 plus weeks post partum.
ETA: If you did have this - how long did it last and how many times a night? Wondering if I have it excessive and should be concerned because I have been sick with an infection and fever.
  TIA

Didn't happen to me, but happened to my best friend after both of her kids.

YES! It started in the hospital for me. I don't remember how long it lasted, but not TOO long - maybe 1-2 weeks after we got home. It was so gross!!

Yes, I had it with both of my pregnancies. My doctor told me it was my hormones from the pregnancy leaving my body. I can't rememeber how long it took to stop, but it does taper off.

Same here-I would wake up drenched!!! My clothes would be all damp. I retained a lot of water with my first though, esp since I had her the end of August and was preggo all summer in the heat. Even my feet got all dried up like prunes-gross!

Re: Did this happen to anyone else post-partum - night "sweats"?
Can I tell you, this was my least favorite post-partum thing to happen to me. I could handle the hair falling out, I could handle the droopy skin, but man, the sweats I'm pretty sure they say that your body sweats out a lot of the excess fluids from pregnancy and that the return of balanced hormones is what leads you to sweat-free nights. It lasted probably a couple of months for me. But I swear, to this day, I just feel hotter all the time, and not in the good way

I had post-partum hot flashes throughout the day for 3-4 months. MD said the same thing, it's normal.
