He entered Hospice on Monday and by Thursday we knew we didn't have much time left. Hospice was wonderful to my dad and family. They kept Dad out of pain and had a wonderful support network for us. All six of us kids made it to Ohio in time to tell Dad good-bye. He couldn't speak but he managed to open his eyes and give my hand a small squeeze and I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for that. Dad didn't want any calling hours or funeral, so friends and family stopped by the house and made toasts and told stories. I just can't believe he's gone.
I am so sorry for your loss. It was really good that you were there for him in his last moments of life. I was there for both my mothers passing and my fathers passing too Scott
