I agree with erox over there. she should have qualified her statement.
other than that, it's her opinion and her feelings on her own pregnancy. can't really get on her for how she feels about what she went through.
I agree with the whole being fat thing and feeling like crap - I just think its funny how she misses looking super sexy slutty hot, or however she put it...

I honestly don't think what the big deal is with her statements, pregnancy is such a personal experience that it's her opinion on how she lived that time in her life.
I think she could have though more about the adoption statements but overall, I like her and I think she is beautiful and funny girl.

Or a condition that was caused by being pregnant?

Lol- all I know is I read that whole statement, hearing her accent.
I think she meant that she had the "mask of pregnancy" which is a discoloration of the skin that some pregnant women get, usually on the face.
I guess it's similar to that skin discoloration disease that Michael Jackson claimed to have, but in pregnant women it goes away after they give birth.

The mask of pregnancy is a condition called Melasma (sp) the cheeks, forehead & upper lip become darker than the rest of the skin on the face, usually if you stay out of the sun it is OK.
I think her comments on adoption show her ignorance

I agree she could have chosen her words better re: adoption - But I took her comments as genuine and HONEST - NOT eveyone LOVES being pregnant. Not everyone sugar coats the whole process and looks at it through rose colored glasses - gaining weight and looking and feeling like hell, morning sickness, 10,000 dr. appointments, having someone else take control of your entire body -
She's saying she HATED being pregnant, but the end result - her baby - was all worth it - And those who adopt because they don't WANT to be bothered with the 'inconvenience' of a pregnancy are lazy (not those who have infertility issues)
And now that the pregnancy is over, she wants to get back to being HERSELF - What is so wrong with that ??? Being someone's mother is NOT the ONLY part of a woman's life (althrough it should be the most important part, it's not the ONLY part of who a woamn is !!)
I completely agree with what you say here, but maybe that's b/c I felt VERY similarly to how Jaime felt during her pregnancy. I applaud her for being brutally honest and admitting exactly how she feels/felt during pregnancy and after.

As far as her not liking being pregnant - that's her being honest and I don't fault her for that.
I completely agree, I had a wonderful pregnancy with DS and I felt amazing but I detested gaining 50lbs and being "fat". That is my honest opinion, the last 4 months of my preganancy I hated because at 5ft 4in I was a house or at least in my own mind. Yeah sure I am back to 118 now but my body is forever changed and from it. It was very difficult to get rid of what pregnancy did to my body and I think any woman who calims they love being pregnant and gaining weight, getting saggy boobs and stretch marks or at the very least a little cellulite and looser skin is full of it. The end result is an amazing child but the process s U c k s IMO.
It might sound completely vain but I am unsure if I want another baby because I am afraid of what I will look like if I do. That's just how I feel.

Ok, like some people said...pregnancy is a personal thing...some people love it others hated it. I loved PARTS of my pregnancy. I hated being so heavy...it really wore me out and my body hurt from all that extra weight.
I also know what it's like to have that mask of pregnancy and can totally relate. I went from walking out of the house with no makeup to covering my face with cover up and powders. Bare Minerals didn't work at all...in fact it only made it worse. I hated going out and have people look at my face...I was completely embarassed. It really tugs at your self esteem. After pregnancy it GRADUALLY goes away but you have it forever, which totaly s*cks.

Although she had some poorly chosen words I am thankful for someone else to come out and say that they too hate/hated being pregnant. Sometimes it seems like I am surrounded by people who are enjoying the heck out of their pregnancies and it can make me feel guilty cause I am not.
Her adoption comment I took as refering to those in Hollywood who use adopt because they are too busy with their careers to take time out for pregnancy or dont want to risk losing their "hot" body.

me too, very insensitive comments about adoption IMO
gaining weight should not be you biggest concern while pregnant....so many more important things to worry about, you can lose the weight after the baby comes

In general, I find it extremely boring when celebrities talk about their pregnancy or new motherhood. It always sounds as if they think they are the first people to experience what they experience or feel what they feel. And clearly some people talk too much. Period.
