Im certainly not proud of the things our country ahs done, but i still wouldnt want to live anywhere else on earth

I'm proud to be both, but I'm disappointed in Americans. 
When celebrities are paid millions for a picture, but nurses and teachers can't buy houses, that disappoints me.
When a musician makes millions for misogynistic (sp) music but millions go hungry every night and don't have insurance, that disappoints me.
Nobody is fighting to improve this country because sadly, money talks.
When kids want Coach bags and super sweet sixteen parties and Lexus', but can't spell 'America', that really disappoints me.
Basically, I'm so proud and feel so privelaged to be a New Yorker and an American, but I'm VERY disappointed in our values.

Ditto! I can't imagine living anywhere else -ever! I always feel so much pride & emotion when I hear the Star Spangled Banner or Proud To Be An American.

I am extremely proud to be BOTH American and a New Yorker.
There are many celebrities who say they hate the United States and go to great lengths to talk badly about this country. This country is the reason that they are millionaires...If it's so bad then I think they should move!
