Re: when do you shower?
At first i would wheel the bassinet next to the door frame of the bathroom and eh would fall asleep while I was showering. Now, I put him in the swing by the door and he sits there and plays.

I try and get one in before DH leaves for work...then its a long, relaxing one.
If not, I bring his carseat in there and he has never given me a problem.

when i am home with dd, she goes in the travel swing in the doorway and i shower.....she is not a napper so i would be waiting forever! she loves it and swings and listens to the water sound....now our dog lies on the other side of the swing too...talk about privacy

When DD was really little I always just brought the bouncy in the bathroom and the sound of the fan and water always put her to sleep  ahhhh nice long shower for mommy.
Now that I'm back to work I either try to shower before she gets up or I put her in the bouncy and put on Baby Einstein or I just leave her laying on her back in my bed surrounded by toys and pillows (I remove the blankets and she can't roll back to belly yet so I feel comfortable). My work morning showers are fast - so far I've never come out to hear any crying.

My DH works 3-11pm so usually I always had him home in the mornings to give me some relief while showering. But if DH was not home, I would usually bring him in the bathroom with me in his bouncy seat and jump in quick. He rarely ever napped when he was an infant otherwise I would have done it then. Good luck!

When Charlie was really small, I'd put him in his swing right outside the bathroom door where I could see him. Now, I wait until he's napping or he's in his "activity center" watching Baby Einstein. Then it's a really quick shower.

I would bring Julia in the bathroom with me when she was an infant and put her in the bouncy seat while I was in the shower, and she was fine! She still comes into the bathroom with me when I shower.

I shower before my hubby leaves for work.
Im shocked that so many find it so hard to shower with a small infant (younger than 6m)...
I dont remember being worried about leaving them for a quick shower...
Ive always had great babies that never ever whined or cried for no reason...
(they waited for the toddler years to make up for it !

It was so hard for me to shower when ds was so young b/c up until he was 6 weeks I was BF and he was constantly eating and rarely napped. As he got older I never knew how long his naps would be. So whenever I felt I had the right time I would shower. I also use to bring the monitor in the bathroom when he napped and would bring in the bouncy also. Now at 1 I do it when he naps or after he eats lunch I leave him in his highchair and he watches some tv.

I would just bring the monitor into the bathroom with me, shower, and if they woke up while i was in the shower, i would finish up, put a robe on and get them.
Same here. This way I knew when she started crying and I would just hurry up and finish. It always seemed like she knew when I was going in though

when I was home with Jacob I would take a really fast shower when he was napping. I would leave the bathroom door open and take the monitor in the bathroom with me

either at night, during the day when he takes a nap or my mom is here.
The other day I brought him in the bathroom and put him in the infant/toddler rocker and it was fine.
