Re: when do you shower?
Well my boys are older now, but even when they were young I would just bring the monitor into the bathroom with me, shower, and if they woke up while i was in the shower, i would finish up, put a robe on and get them.

Re: when do you shower?
Take a shower when she goes down for a nap. In a worst case scenario she's going to wake up and cry for a few minutes while you finish up. Crying won't hurt her. Or, if she's awake, bring the bouncy seat or swing into the bathroom. Babies tend to like the white noise of the water running. In fact, when DS would wake up in the middle of the night and we had a hard time getting him back to sleep, we used to take him in to the bathroom and turn the faucet on.

that's what i would do. or if she's awake you could put her in a bouncy seat or bassinet and bring her into the bathroom with you or just right outside the door.

Re: when do you shower?
When she was little I'd put her in the bouncy seat facing the shower when she was awake and fed -- and go quick!

Re: when do you shower?
When DD was younger i would bring her in her bouncy seat in the bathroom while I showered.
Now that's she's older I either shower while she naps or I put her in a pnp in my room right in front of the doorway of the master bath.
I look forward to showering on the weekends when I can take long leisturely peace and quiet showers while DH watches her

Re: when do you shower?
I 1st waited until DH came home, but since he doesnt come home until 7 or 8 at night sometimes I couldnt go the whole day without showering - so as soon as I give Cailen his morning bottle (anywhere between 6-7AM) and he falls back to sleep, I wait until he is fast asleep, and then jump into the shower - it is working out much better!

Re: when do you shower?
I agree with everyone else, as soon as she finishes a bottle, I hop in (no more long showers like I used to have) wash up real quick, if she cries for a few minutes, its ok

Re: when do you shower?
I use to get up early when DH was still sleeping and shower then before he went to work. when she got up to about 8 weeks, I would put her in her bouncette and when she fell asleep I would shower then leaving her in my sight.

Re: when do you shower?
I usually do it during her morning nap. If I need to get out of the house early, I put her in the pack-n-play in my bedroom. I used to put her in the swing in my bedroom but now she doesn't like to be so confined.

Re: when do you shower?
I would either take a shower if she was sleeping in her crib (if she woke, she may cry for a few mintutes but not too long) or I would bring her in the bathroom in her bouncy chair.

Re: when do you shower?
When she was first born, I would do it as she napped since she slept for 3 hours at a time. When she got to be about a month or so old, I would put her in the bouncy seat at the opening to the bathroom and shower so that I could see her. She'd usually sleep, but at least I could see her. Then, as she got older, I'd just put her in the pack n play. Now I do the same thing, in the pack n play. If she's antsy, I put the pnp in front of the TV. Honestly, though, it took a while for me to get to the point that of saying that if she started to cry while I was showering, then she'd be ok for a few minutes. Once I made that decision, it was much easier.
