3 of my friends and I turned 30 within a month and a half of each other - so we threw a 30th birthday x4 party in a private room at zanzibar in hell's kitchen. it was a blast!

we went to a local bar/restaurant for food and drinks with all our friends, we also got engaged for my birthday so we celebrated that too

I was 6 months preggo so nothing too crazy. We just had a big BBQ at the house with all my friends. It was a lot of fun.

I didn't celebrate mine yet but I threw DH a huge Luau in the yard with hula dancers and all. It was awesome!

Him and my family threw me a surprise party.
Both held at my parents and they were catered.

Surprise party (that I wasn't so surprised about).
But on my actual my birthday, my husband and I spent the weekend at Mohonk Mountain House.

I spent 17 hrs of it in active labor, and the remaining 7 crying and staring at my newborn baby!!
I think I should get a do-over.. i mean at least something with some alcohol involved...

I had just started dating my DH a month and a half before. He met all of my friends for the first time on my 30th..
I had about 20 people at dinner at Toni Dinapoli's located on the UES, then I had reserved a spot at Session 73 on the UES (I lived in the city at that time) and it was close to my apartment at that time.

For my DH, I threw him a surprise party in a suite at a Mets game.....
For me, this summer, I've asked for diamonds...no party. We'll see what happens, I think he has other ideas....

For DH, he wanted low-key, so the two of us went skiing at his favorite place in Vt.
I'm not quite there yet, but I'm thinking I'd like to go away! Maybe bahamas.

Me: Dinner w/DH at 21 Main.
DH: Dinner @ Chateau Briand w/me - oh how I miss the restaurant.
Neither of us are really big into celebrating bdays... But we do like to acknowledge the day with a quiet dinner together at a special place.

A friend invited me out for drinks and then she surprised me by inviting a bunch of other people without telling me, so it was sort of an inpromptu birthday party at the bar

I threw DH a surprise party in a catering hall. After that was over, we had a bunch of friends back to the house to continue the celebration.
