We have a coffee table with the matching end tables - but will be removing the coffee table once the baby comes because I think it will be too cluttered.

we had a leather ottoman but we moved it to the downstairs den, so now there is no coffee table, it looks good to have the space but its clear that something is missing
we do need to get one soon

We did have an ottoman that served as a coffee table infront of the couch, but ever since Ava started to crawl, we moved it, and it makes such a difference in space!

Here too. I love being able to put a book or magazine (more likely a plate though! on it..).we use it more than the end tables. on the end tables we have lamps, our phone, etc.

i have one, but it will no longer fit once my couch (a wrap around) gets delivered. We're going to have to be without one for awhile. One purchase at a time, ya know?

We have one but will be getting rid of it once our house expansion is complete. I think we will replace it but not sure until I see the finished room.
I don't think you have to have one. My mom doesn't have one (just end tables) and the room looks fine.

we've been without a coffee table now for a few months and just yesterday we ordered one. I think its better having one just so you can rest your drinks/phone/magazines, etc on it

We have one in our formal living room, but not in the den. We hang out in the den most of the time, only use the formal living room for company.
same here. It's great not to have one in the way for the baby too.

i like the space and how it looks, but we eat, drink, read in there so we have no where to put our glasses and magazines when we are laying on the couch
