The 2006 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
The 2006 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is cut down Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006 at the home of Rob Kinnaird and his wife Deborah in Ridgefield, Conn. The 9-ton tree is 45 feet in diameter and 88 feet tall. It will be set on a 115-foot-long trailer and hauled to Manhattan on a flatbed truck, where workers will start putting it up at Rockefeller Plaza on Friday morning.

We are planning on going to the city this year and see it!
I do that every year. DH and I take the train in and walk from Penn to Macy's, look at all the lovely windows and then walk all the way up 5th Ave to look at all the lights and decorations. stop to see the tree, go to St Patrick’s Cathedral and then go as far up as Tiffany's... and then go home. I LOVE IT!!!!

I have seen the tree every year for almost five years. I think me and FH are going to go on Christmas Eve this year.
Does anyone know what day the lighting of the tree is??

I cant wait to go see it this year... I was proposed to by the tree and angels in Rockefellar Center (it had meaning to us from year one of dating) I am so excited...and plus its from a town pretty close to where I live now!
