pictures of you in undergarments in wedding album
Would you put pics of you in your undergarments in your album? I'm VERY torn on this.... On the one hand -- with a full bustier bra and underwear I was as covered as I would be in a one piece bathing suit... but some of the poses are clearly "sexy." I can't imagine showing my grandpa, uncles and guy friends the album and having them see it. On the flip side - they are really good pics that i like - and i'm not exactly going to hang them on the wall. So, I sort of feel like if they don't go in the album - they won't go anywhere. Thoughts?
BTW - I did post this on LIW too, but I think there are lots of married people on here and I'd like to get as many opinoins as possible.... Thanks.

I hear ya. I didn't even have any of those taken. I made sure I was fully dressed before the photographer came.
ETA- not b/c I thought I'd look too sexy, but b/c I thought I'd look to fat.
& because underwear is goes UNDER you clothes.

I have requested that my photographer take those kind of pictures for me  I think they are hot...but for the album, probably not....I may make my own album with those kind of pictures instead.

besides your male relatives, your in-laws will want to see your album. And if you display it in your home, guests that come to your house are going to want to look at your album.
plus one day your kids might want to....

I think there is nothing wrong with those type of pics but not for an album, maybe you can have a separate album just for you and your dh just to see.

eta- the thong shots really turn me off
a tasteful shot is kind of OK but the asscheek/thing thing to me is not for everyone to see.

I didnt take any but if I did I wouldnt put them in an album for all to see. I would make a seperate little album for DH.
At my photographers there are examples of albums and lets just say Ive seen parts of strangers Id rather not see!

I just got my photographs back and there are undergarment pics. I agree - in most i am covered more than i would be in a bathing suit - but there is something about the them that has a *sexy* quality and i wouldnt want male friends or male relatives to see them. I think that i will just put them away with the other proofs that dont make it to the album.

I had some pics like that, but no I didn't put those in our album.
I did put one where most of my leg is showing since my mom is putting on my garter and one where my mom & sis are zipping up my dress.

I would, if I had some....I look like I'm getting ready for a track meet! (tank, adidas sweats)...I think those kinds of shots (undergarments) are sexy, in a classy way!

In my album I have a pic of me in my underclothing sitting on a chair with one of bridesmaid putting on my shoes. It is a very classy looking pic which is in black and white. Not trashy at all. I think it is about the type of pic and how it is presented.

Well, my dress has a corset top so I went braless
and no hose... who they heck was gonna see them?
So none for me
I think if they are tastefully done and vbride is wearing a full corset or they are just a pic zoomed in on the garter etc. then ok.

i did not have my photographer take any getting dressed/half dressed pictures. not my thing. yes they can be in good taste, but it's not somthing i'd want my dad to see.

I didn't... after seeing one girl that posted her pics and some of the shots for her album were VERY sexy I just thought it was inappropriate for a wedding album.. JMHO

honestly- if you love the way you look why not?
I would do them in more of a montage, rather than having one large pic opposite another-- that way they are smaller, they capture the excitement of gettign ready and it's not like putting your goods on display.
I have some getting ready pics-- but I am not sure if you see anything--

ME TOO!!
We actually kicked the photographer's out of the room while we were getting dressed. My BMs got ready at the same time as me and two of them are young teenagers, so I knew they wouldn't be comfortable with a guy taking their picture so we didn't do this (besides the obvious above reason!!)

I would definitely not have them in an album for some of the reasons you stated as well as some of the girls above. I think if you are questioning yourself now...you may regret it later. Yes, you are covered but I definitely would not want my in laws and children etc... seeing them. If you like them why not get a 4x6 or something.

No. It was bad enough that my DOC had to see me in my undergarments -- there was no way the photographer was getting anywhere near me when I wasn't fully dressed.
