2 Year old DS won't eat or drink much! Please help. :)
My 2 Year old DS will barely eat anything for the past three days. As for drinking, he won't drink anything! Luckily I got him to drink some water one day and milk the other, but only 1 or 2 cups if that! I'm really getting worried about him! This is a kid who loves to eat an loves to drink juice (white grape juice all day!) Now he will barely touch food or drinks! I don't know what to do. Yesterday, he ate a banana for lunch, fruit puree pack and ice cream for dinner because he wouldn't eat anything else. But he's fighting us about eating and refuses to drink! This morning and last night I got him to eat some ice cream figuring it had some calcium in it and that would be good for him. This moring he actually ate a pancake for breakfast, lunch a bananna again and nothing else all day! I don't know whatelse to try or do. We asked him if his tummy hurt and he said no. He doesn't have a temperture, so I doubt he's sick. Has anyone had a similar issue? If so any good ideas? Thanks! :)

We've tried new and different sippy cups thinking maybe he was just being picky, we tried straws and nothing works! :(

When my 2 year old DS went on a hunger strike recently we gave him Pediasure to drink at each meal at the recommendation of his pediatrician. The reason my DS wasn't eating or drinking was bc he had a double ear infection and it literally hurt him to swallow. Is it possible your DS is sick? Either way I would try the Pediasure, or they also make a kids Boost that my ped recommended.
Good luck, I know it's frustrating!

Oh I didn't think of that. That's true it could be an ear infection. I'm going to take him the pedi. tomorrow and get some pedisure tonight! He seems mushy and tired and all he wants to do is sleep but other than that he hasn't had any symptoms. I guess he could be sick. Thanks!! :)

He could be sick. My kids go on random hunger strikes all the time, but especially when they have colds.

DD use to do that when she had an ear infection. No other symptoms except for the non eating/drinking.
