My 2 Year Old Won't Eat!

DD has always been a pretty good eater but the last couple of weeks, she hardly eats anything at all!

She went from eating 3-4 good meals a day to a cup of milk, a couple of pancakes, a piece of string cheese and a couple of little pieces of cut up chicken a day. Yet, she still has the same amount of energy and is playing and sleeping like normal.

I figured it's teething-related, but should I call the pediatrician? Did your DC go though this and for how long did he/she act this way?

My mom said a kid will never starve as long as there is food in the house and that DD will eat when she's hungry, but it's so frustrating to have her eat hardly anything anymore!

I think she's fine. Toddlers do this sometimes. My dd (22 months) gave up meat totally for a while. I had spoken with the dr about it. She told me to just keep offering the food, if you LO eats it, fine, if not fine. Sometimes my dd eats a ton....sometimes she only picks throughout the day!!!

my 3 yr old doesnt eat and he is fine--ped said it was okay
