What's everyone doing today during the storm?
I'm home with the kids like I'd normally be on a Thursday. DH is home working downstairs in the basement.

I'm home and I have to use a day's vacation so I'm pissed. DH is working from home and daycare is closed. DH is on a call right now and DD put all her shoes in a pile and is throwing them at me one by one.
This is the first day in my working life that I've taken a snow day- I always worked in the city, I've only been working on LI for a few months and I learned yesterday that nothing scares LIers more than snow because you would think the apocalypse was coming by the way my coworkers were talking.
These roads better get cleared because so help me I cannot stay home with these 2 again tomorrow.
Ugh I am with you. My DD HATES being home. HATES it. She is the only child on the planet who loves going to school and gets upset when school is closed.
She hates snow too- refuses to play outside in it- and I can't say I blame her. It's cold and wet- yay what fun!
When we are cooped up in this house things get bad fast- I get depressed- I don't shower or get dressed, why bother? Then I just get more depressed from that and it's a vicious cycle.
I work from home on days like this and have to hide from the noise to take calls.
By noon she is bored and bitchhing and moaning.
We are not cut out to be stuck in this house.
God help us.
There better be school tomorrow

Other: Took LIRR into work. Had no issues, just worried about getting home later.
Keep an eye on the LIRR. They shut down at 10 inches because of the 3rd rail.

As of now running with delays- but yes, it could be shut down if it gets enough snow.

What's everyone doing today during the storm?
I am home and miserable. DH is at work, my in laws are here to help me with my kids. I may head out soon and single handedly clear the path to school so we can all get out of this house tomorrow.

What's everyone doing today during the storm?
Dh is at work and took the lirr. He said he's leaving soon and I'm praying he gets home before they shut down-I have a snow day and am home with our 3 month old and 2.5 year old. I think this is the first day I haven't left my house in like 2 years

S glad my new job closed. At 7 AM they were open, thank god I called at 7:20 to make sure and they decided to close!!
to answer, I caught up on emails, cleaned the floors, vacuumed, ate a few cookies too

Me too, someone from my job said its only a little snow. I replied, says the girl who lives in SoHo only 30 minutes from the job. 10-14inches is not a little snow.

Today is my birthday! DD has the flu, so we've been watching movies and just relaxing. I baked brownies, DH just made a fire and he's goung out later to pick up dinner.

I took paratransit into the office. Going in not so bad... I left at 1, because paratransit was shutting down. The office closed at 3.

That was my boss yesterday...her exact words were I don't think 10 inches of snow is a lot at all!!! Funny coming from the person who doesn't come in if there are one too many clouds in the sky!!! If we have a flurry she stays home because of the kids 
Thank goodness it's not her decision if we close or not!!

We played with pretty much all the toys we have
Play doh. Kinetic sand. Dance party. Board games
Broke up a few fights lol. Went outside for a hour
Came in. We made our own pizzas.(like English muffin pizzas lol)
iPad for 45 min. Bath. Bed.
Now I'm relaxing!!!

I wasn't feeling well, but luckily dh stated home so he hung out with dd and I got to take a nap while the baby was napping. That was the highlight of my day

Yes! All kids are in bed, my in laws are here another night (wasn't making them drive home tonight), and all I want to do is go to bed. I have a feeling my 2 older kids will be off again tomorrow. Heaven help me.
