I'm working from home because of the weather, so it's almost a typical day for me, just without driving to the office.

Cuddling up with DH and the kids and relaxing. His office is closed, school is closed................perfect excuse to do nothing. I have chicken soup in the Crock Pot, going to bake some cookies with the kids later, and other than that we've got nothing else to do but relax.

Just finished trudging through the snow to get to work... I took the subway and I'm over an hour late... oh well, they should be happy I'm here at all. If it's icy tomorrow morning I'm staying home.

I started to go to work in the city this morning, then turned around and went back inside.
Cleaned off half the car for DH to take me to the train and the snow and wind really kicked up.
Looked at DH and said snow day. How the heck and I supposed to get home later ?
I can't work from home, no laptop.

Dh is working from home so I'm trying to keep the kids entertained. I'm so glad that I put away some of the Christmas toys. I'll be opening those up after they finish watching Trolls. Making some yummy homemade chicken noodle soup too!

What's everyone doing today during the storm?
My work is closed, so I just woke up at 10 am. Having breakfast now, then workout, eventually shower, go and start shoveling to get a head of it, watch some shows off my DVR, go shovel again, maybe bake some brownies.

Oh forgot to add I am also spending money like I have 2 assholes today shopping online.
I think when i get depressed- like when I am snowed in- I tend to buy shit to make me feel better.
So far I bought a metal print for my living room from mpix, a silver decorative bowl for my living room, fake glasses for my DD's 100th day of school/dress like a 100 year old, and I am looking at buying jeans from Kohls
I need to step away from the Amazon prime.

Working from home, which I usually do about once a week. Only difference is that everyone is home today and most of our clients are home as well so it's really really quiet making it harder for me to concentrate and actually get work done.
I have done some serious shopping and 3 loads of laundry already!

What's everyone doing today during the storm?
I'm home and I have to use a day's vacation so I'm pissed. DH is working from home and daycare is closed. DH is on a call right now and DD put all her shoes in a pile and is throwing them at me one by one.
This is the first day in my working life that I've taken a snow day- I always worked in the city, I've only been working on LI for a few months and I learned yesterday that nothing scares LIers more than snow because you would think the apocalypse was coming by the way my coworkers were talking.
These roads better get cleared because so help me I cannot stay home with these 2 again tomorrow.
