Something fishy is going on. 1 min news12 said they confirmed with the Air National Guard that no Military plane were flying then 10 min later they say BNL says its was military planes. If was a plane why would it o a sonic boom so low in a residential area? In my opinion somebody is try to cover up something.

There was a big plane low over the house but it sounded like an explosion. I didn't connect the two bc the plane looked fine. Are they sure that's what it was? Did they say it was over shoreham?

LOL Not aliens... I think it was a jet doing a sonic boom. I think the pilot did it to low and someone is covering up so they dont get in trouble...

ITA. My DH swears with all these earthquakes and tsunami's etc that there is underground weapons testing going on all over the world causing all this.

The FAA says Military aircraft experienced pressurization problem and made a rapid descent creating the noise that people heard and felt in eastern Suffolk.

Officials investigating source of loud noise in Brookhaven Town
(08/25/11) WOODBURY – News 12 Long Island has received numerous calls about a loud boom heard in the eastern Suffolk area.
Brookhaven National Lab says it has been told by airport officials at MacArthur Airport that the source of the noise was from military jets.
Viewers in Yaphank, Manorville, Ridge, Wading River, Miller Place, Shirley and other towns east in Brookhaven Town are saying it was a very loud noise that shook their house.
News 12 is in contact with officials and BNL who are still trying to figure out the source of the noise. Calls have been made to Suffolk police, FAA, TRACON and Suffolk Fire Rescue.
The Air National Guard has told News 12 Long Island that they have no fighter jets on their radar.
