Took out the snowblower/shovels. Not much to prepare.

We aren't going to be stranded for weeks or even days.
No need to rush to the store for bread and milk. I never understand that.

Exactly.
It's funny to witness actually
Luckily we don't' eat bread or drink milk, so I guess we'll survive.

It's like what are you making with all that bread and milk??! French toast? Chat Icon
How about buy items to make meals.

Yep just made French toast for dinner.Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: What are you doing to prepare for the storm?

Salt and shovels have been dug out. I checked for the ice scrapers. Lawn furniture has been put away which was overdue anyway. DH got gas for the generator, which we got hand me down from my in laws a few months ago and is new to us. We'll make sure everything is charged.

I'm also trying to get some extra work done tonight because for some reason, in my neighborhood if someone passes gas hard enough I lose power.

My neighborhood used to be like that. Then we got a generator. So of course we never lost power again ever. Because we have a generator now so why would the power ever go out again right?

I tell my neighbors they can thank us for that one!

Nothing. Not even sure if I have an ice scraper in my car lol

LOL. For years I never had and ice scrapper or a snow brush. But I still had my beach chairs and towels in my trunk. As you can tell ,I'm not a winter person.
One time I was wiping the snow off my car off after work with a beach towel Chat Icon

I have both in my car all year long lol

Haha love it

Re: What are you doing to prepare for the storm?

-Shovel by front door
-Snow blower ready to go
-Boots, hats & gloves set out
-Prepared the day tomorrow by setting a delayed start with clients so we all have enough time to get in to work without rushing. Also hope that gives the plows enough time to get the roads more clear

Ya know... the usual stuff

Re: What are you doing to prepare for the storm?

We gassed up the snow blower and started it up.

We got all the shovels, ice melt and ice scrapers out. We pre-salted the driveway and walk way.

We got all of the winter gear ready - gloves, hats, snowpants, boots, etc.

SO YOU ARE SO WELCOME!!! We knew if we did that, we would not get the snow predicted. We are good for something!Chat Icon
