I was a FTWM and am now a SAHM. I love it!!! It definately has it's moments, but I am enjoying just about every minute!

I'm a PTWM. I try to work ~3 days or so per week. I am lucky to have lots of help from parents on both sides.

I feel like the unspoken truth is that as a woman, especially, you lose so much of what makes you "you" when you have a child, professionally speaking. I was working 6+ days a week, long hours, not so much b/c I had to but b/c I love what I do.

Sometimes I miss working so much and am worried that I will be off my game after taking all this time off. The time I spend off I love being with DD, but (and I think this will not come across as I mean it) but I think of myself as mostly a housekeeper. Cleaning DD's diapers, dirty bottles, poop stained clothing, messy highchair after eating, laundry, etc. I don't feel nearly as productive.

Of course, I love watching my baby grow and I am so blessed to have her. I just didn't realize how much I would have to give up. It is impossible to have it all.

When you are working, you think about being home with DC. When you are at home, you long to be working. It is really a hard adjustment.

FTWM (work 4 days/week) and I wish I was a SAHM....I like my job and it’s very flexible thankfully, and I get a lot of time off, but I do wish I could be home with my girls. But it is what it is, I can’t change it.
