I'm a FTWM, but I'm a teacher so I'm off in the summers. I just went back to work this week. It's tough and I really miss being home with them. But I feel like I have the best of both worlds. I have decent hours, so I can see my kids a lot and still work. Nothing beats summers off, though!

I am a PTWM, and I really feel like I have the best of both worlds... as does DD.
While I am in the office 3 days a week, my DD has an entire day each week with Mema, Gramma and Pop, and Nancy our wonderful neighbor/friend/sitter.
DD has learned so much from each of her grandparents and Nancy. As a result she is well rounded and well adjusted....
And for me - having 2 days being a SAHM still affords me the opportunity to have the needed 1 on 1 time....
As well as remaining on top of my projects at work, dressed for business, and interacting with friends/co-workers. Oh and on par with our bills...
Really has been a blessing - I am thankful

I don't know how to answer because I am in limbo and trying to decide what to do when my DC#2 is born in March.
I guess I am a FTWM who isn't happy. I was planning to be a SAHM but considering being a PTWM.

I'm a PTWM and love it. It is the perfect balance. I work 20 hours a week... 2 full days in the office, 4 hours at home.
I thought I wanted to be A FTSAHM but now I know I'm not cut out for it. It's HARD and not having the adult interaction is really tough.
I knew I never wanted to be a FTWM, I didn't want to miss too much of my DD's baby/childhood.
Going to work two days a week is like a vacation and renews me.. I'm able to appreciate my DD more the other 5 days.

I am a FTWM and if I didn't have so much debt owedI wouldn't mind being a PTWM working 2-3 days a week. This won't happen for a few years

FTWM and I'd quit in a heartbeat if I could afford to. Ive got nothing more to prove professionally and I would rather stay at home taking care of my own kids than someone else's. End of story.

Same for me...
I work FT (and my child comes to work w/ me!) and I enjoy it... but Id prefer to be a PTWM....

me! although I am working part time right now (going back FT in end of Feb), and I will get to work once a week from home, so I really can't complain. I have a great career and can make my schedule semi-flexible.
I will be able to give DD more than I had growing up, and I know I am not cut out to stay home. after #2 I would love to find something part time, but its hard to do in my current career. I would have to take a step back, which I might be OK with temporarily. That is what I am currently struggling with.

I consider myself a PTWM but in reality i'm just about a FTWM since i bring over half of my work home with me to finish on the days that i should be with my kids.
I wish I could be a SAHM and that money weren't such an issue right now.

I answered SAHM and I love it- for now.
I was a FTWM until DS was 14 months, did not like it.
When my kids are a bit older, I would love a PT job. They are 3 and 9 months old now.

FTWM, a coach and a part-time photographer... while at times I feel overwhelmed... I know it's because of my own choices. I have my time at work to be an adult and interact and know that I am contributing to the world in my own way...
I love what I do. And for all the time I am not at home, the big smiles and MA! MA! I get when I get home remind me of why I work so hard and do what I do. I would not want it any other way.

FTWM and would like to have everything I have but be a maybe 75%TWM.
I don't punch a clock at work, but I generally work 8:30ish to around 4:30-5.
I would love to be out by 3. But that position does not exist in my field so oh well.

PTWM - barely though. I only work 1 day a week.
I love it because on most days I'm home with the babes which for the most part I really enjoy... but I get to go into the real world once a week and have some adult conversation and use my brain for adult things. lol

I am a FTWM..I would LOVE to be a PTWM..that would be the best of both worlds.....because even though I would LOVE to be home with DD..going to work is nice too...having some adult interaction and getting a like break.

I guess other...FT student, which includes some work in there (teaching a course and research)...I'm home PT, and DD goes to daycare PT
I'm not gonna lie, I love how it is right now, I get to enjoy the best of both...sometimes I wish I was home w/her all the time, sometimes I wish I had more time to focus on school, but c'est la vie....It's never "perfect", KWIM?
