I never bought a Sophie. It was cute but I could not bring myself to spend that kind of money on a teether.

OMG...glad she is OK. I never heard of this toy until everyone started raving about it on LIF. I "probably" would have bought it for my second dd. Thank God you posted this and made people aware. Sorry it happened this way. You must have been so scared!

I see this is a thread from 2010, is this still an issue or did they fix the product? I am registered for one and am now thinking of pulling it off my registry.

They have since changed the product, making the legs shorter.
