Re: sophie the giraffe teether

i never got one for DD and didn't regret it. I couldn't justify spending that much money for something she would just chew on.

We got one as a gift, he does love it.....but he also loves other, way cheaper toys, just as much to shove in his mouth. Had he not gotten it as a gift, I wouldn't have bought it myself.

best thing aboout Sophie is that it's one of the only teethers or even toys i could find that was not made in china......i'm not a big anti-made in china person but was glad to find at least one thing that wasn't! DC did love it too.....

We had it. It wasn't a big hit with jacen. It was a big hit with Jedi (our dog) though. Chat Icon

It was originally made ~50 years ago in France...it has been made the same way, ever since. It is made from all natural, non-toxic materials.

It's easy for the child to hold and the legs help get at the rear teeth.

Needless to say, it was a big hit with Charlie when she first started teething. Definitely worth the purchase for us.

My son hated Sophie at first BUT he's come around (after some pushing on Mommy's side! He was going to like her damn it). He does love Sophie now but he also likes his other teethers just as much! I prob wouldn't spend the $20 again!

Re: sophie the giraffe teether

My DS loves Sophie!! My husband was upset that I spent $20 on a teether when I first bought it but it has become my DS's favorite teether and my DH will not let us leave home without it.

Both my kids love it. Not only is it great because it is not made in China and is made of natural rubber - but they are able to use it in all parts of their mouths - the legs allow them to reach the back - which will be good when their molars start coming in.

My SIL's friend's 5 1/2 month old daughter had this and LOVED it when I saw them this weekend. She didn't put it down or stop chewing on it all weekend!

ITA w/ this! I was weary about ordering it (because it's so $$), but it's really been a great purchase and I have some peace of mind knowing it's safer than many other teethers (DS was scratching up his other toys & taking off paint).

Re: sophie the giraffe teether

My sister bought it for Sean - I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a teether -
Sean DOES love it though - Unfortunately, Lola (my Yorkie) goes INSANE every time she sees it and just barks and barks and barks at it - So it stays at Grandma's house -

We have and DS loves it! It does look and sound like a dog toy though so we are careful with it around Ginger.
