I think about your little girl, you, and your family daily but I will say a special prayer today that Lila does not have IS and that neurology comes to a quick (and benign) conclusion regarding the spasm.

You know when you think things can't get worse but then they do and you don't know whether you should laugh or cry? Yeah that's me right now. DD1 was at the playground yesterday and her leg got caught underneath her while going down the slide. We went to urgent care today and they took xrays and they didn't see any fractures or breaks but we're going to an ortho later. She won't walk on it or bear weight on it. Maybe a bad sprain. I still have an on and off fever likely from an ear infection. Lila is obviously still in the hospital. I mean what else is going to happen?
Oh and it's my birthday. What a shit-ty birthday!

Ugh, I'm sorry  Talk about getting kicked when your down. I hope your daughter's leg is nothing more than a minor sprain. You guys are going through so much right now, I give you so much credit for how amazingly you're handling it all. Happy Birthday, Liz! I hope it gets better for you

Oh shit. This is too much im so sorry. Hope BOTH girls are okay. And even though it may be hard. I hope you have a happy birthday. When all starts to settle down. Make sure your dh takes you out to the best dinner of your life!!

Possible fractured tibia. Has to wear a boot cast for at least the next 4 weeks. These past 5 weeks have just been one cruel joke after the other. I'm so drained.

I am so so sorry for all you're going through right now Your family is in my thoughts.
In hopes of uplifting you even just a little, my baby brother had severe RSV at less than a month old. He was diagnosed with a cold up until he started turning blue & left my childhood home in an ambulance. He almost died. He spent around two weeks in the hospital. He's now a perfectly healthy 19 year old. I hope that this also becomes a distant bad memory for your family.

buy her lots of stickers and markers and let her decorate it any way she wants! It may not make it easier for any of you, but at least it will make it special.
I am so sorry all of this has happened to you. I don't want to throw cliches at you about how it will be better and tomorrow is another day and one day at a time.
IT SUCKS!
It's completely unfair!
And you have every right to feel miserable!

Ugh! Im sorry! My son broke his leg the same exact way. Got caught behind him going down a slide when the rubber of his sneaker caught.
Im so so sorry you have to deal with all of this! I hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel soon!

Ugh I am so sorry this is all happening at once. My son had a tibia fracture last August. He needed a full cast though instead of just a boot. By the end of the first week, he was walking on it. So hopefully it will be like that for your DD. I can't imagine going through that on top of everything you've all been going through with Lila. I hope you all get a break from this craziness soon.
