Good report this morning during rounds. Today they're just going to continue to wean her off the vent.
I might have mentioned it before but if not, I will again. I love that they encourage the parents to attend morning rounds. It's a great way to learn about what's going on, a summary of the previous day, and a breakdown of the plan for the day. They really try to keep us parents informed and encourage us to ask questions, which I never really have to do since they explain things so thoroughly.

She might be able to be extubated tomorrow! As long as she keeps tolerating them lowering her vent settings every so often, it should be a go! I can't wait to hold her and actually kiss her.
Oh and she's been awake more frequently and requiring less sedation. Poor thing will start crying which breaks my heart but the nurse and dr said that she's reacting appropriately so even though it's sad, it's a great thing!

Yay!! I'm soo glad to hear that she is getting better!! Poor baby has been through so much. Praying that she will be 100% and you guys will be home soon

Happy Extubation Day! All of Lila's cpap trials went well and the plan is to extubate her this morning! The attending dr is cautiously optimistic and our night nurse said he thinks she'll do great! There's always a chance she doesn't tolerate it and will need to be re-intubated but we're hoping for the best. I can't wait to hold her!!!
