1 in 3 covid cases were from people in Texas and Florida the other day. I wouldn’t want those people hanging around visiting NYC spreading it, not sorry. I think NYC is doing the right thing, especially as a huge hub. People have had plenty of time to get vaccinated. They aren’t and they are hanging around without masks. Look at Louisiana. I wish I wasn't bulled into getting the shot and I seriously worry about the long term side effect which I feel no one if talking about.

It sucks if you have a condition that makes getting a vaccine difficult, but it is equally sucky when a vaccinated person with other pre-existing conditions is forced to collaborate and mingle with somebody refusing to get the vaccine. I find it HARD to believe that the city is not giving a clear path as to how thousands of employees need to test out. But of course you are going to be quick to tell me otherwise because I supposedly can't read.

I took the same risk when I got vaccinated and who knows maybe I'll have eventual side effects. I take solstice knowing that millions have DIED from this virus. Other people wound up in the ER intubated, far worse than what happened to you. Many kids now are getting it and are getting sick.
Maybe one day your action to vaccinate will indirectly be the key to saving somebody's life. And by this I mean coming in contact with an immuno-comprised individual after coming in contact with somebody that is infected.

Don't tell me that no one is forcing you to get the vaccine. Many employers in NYC are making it a requirement to return to work in the city. I work downtown-near city hall and I can tell you it's like a ghost town. There are plenty of openings for jobs but no one wants to be forced to take a shot just for a job.
I wish I wasn't bulled into getting the shot and I seriously worry about the long term side effect which I feel no one if talking about.

So here's a question
If your employer forces you to get the vaccine and you get vaccine injured can you sue them?
Or are they indemnified too like the pharmaceutical companies?
Employers would be absolved because they aren’t forcing employees to get it, it’s just what they mandate if you want to work for a company. So employees have a choice to not get it, but then the employers have the right to cut ties.
It would have to be reviewed and then determine if it should be picked up by workers comp. At least that’s how my niece’s job stated they’ll be handling these events.

I am inconsiderate? When this person is being nasty telling me I can't read? Pot meet kettle. Can dish it out but obviously can't take it.
And my dramatic comment was referring to the fact that she can't seem to find time to get tested.
But now I realize that she doesn't even need to be tested weekly because she is vaccinated. So all this time she has been arguing a point (lack of time to test) that doesn't even directly affect her. 
BTW windy you still didn't respond to my comment about the volume of positive cases. Oh yeah, because you basically have no response.

Don't tell me that no one is forcing you to get the vaccine. Many employers in NYC are making it a requirement to return to work in the city. I work downtown-near city hall and I can tell you it's like a ghost town. There are plenty of openings for jobs but no one wants to be forced to take a shot just for a job.

1) I have been vaxxed - and I was pretty much forced to do it. I've written a couple posts about my horrible reaction to it.
2) Testing needs to be done EVERY week and as I wrote above (which seems like you didn't read) is that the test CAN NOT be a rapid test. Therefore-in order for the test to be valid for the work week you need to go Wed or Thursday for the results to be available. So you can't get tested on a Monday unless you want to take a few days off that week.
LOL boy you are a nasty one. I can read and again your situation makes zero sense. What does getting tested on a Monday have anything to do with getting tested on a Wednesday or Thursday? So go Wednesday or Thursday? If you need to test by a certain day for it to reflect the following week, just do that. If results for the following week need to be read by a doctor the Friday before, just get tested a few days prior so you have enough days for the lab to process. What's the big deal?
I find it HARD to believe that the city is not giving a clear path as to how thousands of employees need to test out. But of course you are going to be quick to tell me otherwise because I supposedly can't read.
And you had an allergic reaction to the shot. Hate to say it but sometimes things happen. No medical procedure is 100% symptom free. I took the same risk when I got vaccinated and who knows maybe I'll have eventual side effects. I take solstice knowing that millions have DIED from this virus. Other people wound up in the ER intubated, far worse than what happened to you. Many kids now are getting it and are getting sick.
Maybe one day your action to vaccinate will indirectly be the key to saving somebody's life. And by this I mean coming in contact with an immuno-comprised individual after coming in contact with somebody that is infected.
Aren't you just so considerate. Wow.
This woman told her story and you are telling her she is being dramatic and that things just happen.
I hope you are not a nurse or someone that needs a best side manner with people.
I am inconsiderate? When this person is being nasty telling me I can't read? Pot meet kettle. Can dish it out but obviously can't take it.
And my dramatic comment was referring to the fact that she can't seem to find time to get tested.
But now I realize that she doesn't even need to be tested weekly because she is vaccinated. So all this time she has been arguing a point (lack of time to test) that doesn't even directly affect her.
BTW windy you still didn't respond to my comment about the volume of positive cases. Oh yeah, because you basically have no response.
I don't remember seeing it. Why, as a man, would you want to go on a board that is almost ALL women. I think there are 3 of you?
Ahhhh.... sexist comments now I see. Never knew that a website with the word "Families" in it is exclusive to women. I'll keep that one in mind.
Windy gets to decide who can or should post and who shouldn't. In order to post you must have lived on Long Island for your entire life and be a female. It's her rules, you see.
At least I don't tell people to move on and go away.

The search is so slow. I don’t really bother with it much. There were some super sleuths that used to be on this board and were usually right. I think the main thing is Hazel had older kids and she didn’t know how to quote. I never paid much attention to Hazeleyes, but I remember a bit of drama with her responses.
