I’ve been up all night watching everything unfold. Heartbreaking. What possesses the scum of the earth to do this? I don’t think we’ll ever know

I say the same thing after every mass shooting. We live in a real sick world. In a few weeks people will be back to worrying about non sense.
I’m so sad and hate this hopeless feeling.

I respectfully disagree.
I want to make it very clear that I AM NOT SAYING I WANT THIS TO HAPPEN but heaven forbid if there was a mass shooting at some kind of Congressional family event we'd have gun control by the end of the month.
Sadly many in our government need to be personally affected before real change can happen.

There was the shooting at the Congressional baseball game, where actual members of Congress were shot, and nothing happened.

I still cannot comprehend why assault rifles and semi-automatic weapons are allowed to be sold to the general public. There is absolutely no reason why anyone needs them.

This is what I ask all the time. Why do you need a gun like that? You want a gun to protect yourself? Ok but you don't need a semi automatic assault riffle. Those should 100% be banned from the public.

I kind of disagree. I just don't think anything will change at this point. I mean, look how long it took Brady to do anything and still it didn't even really help, you know?

Re: Mass shooting at Las Vegas concert
If 21 kids being killed and a Congressman nearly dying doesn't change anything, I too don't think anything will change.
We revere law enforcement in this country. So why do we think it's acceptable (and even a right) for regular citizens to have this kind of firepower that can easily kill a police officer? It makes no sense to me. Regular people should not have access to these kind of weapons.
This ******* shot people from 32 stories. It's mind boggling.

Re: Mass shooting at Las Vegas concert
Nothing will change. I thought the horror of Newtown would change gun laws...nope...maybe when its in the backyard of congress while lawmakers are playing baseball..nope....its disgusting and terrifying...I hate that I am raising my kids in this country where its basically the wild west and anybody can buy an assault rifle for no reason other than they want one. I know of people who own these rifles - normal every day plumbers, contractors laywers the works...they have gun collections..why? because they can and they like to show them to their friends.
I am LIVID that this is the news I woke up to this morning.
God bless these victims and their heartbroken families and friends.
This should not be happening in the US.

Re: Mass shooting at Las Vegas concert
I know they changed the law in NY after those beautiful children lost their lives. You can no longer purchase those weapons. I’m guessing that it’s not across the board?
