Someone said it before. They wonder why they are single?

"Why should I move out? I use daddy credit cards, drive a BMW, dont have to go shopping for food, everything is taken care of".
Let this show be a warning to every parent who is super over protective, or super indulgent. Either way you do you children NO favors. Theses girls, at 28/30 years old wouoldnt even know how to pay a bill LET ALONE balance a checkbook. These girls have no life skills. If they DID live by themselves they would be in troubble in a month. They dont know how to budget, how to look at intrest rates on credit cards. how to wait for a want, when you NEED grocerys and gas....
.....you do your children NO favors by indulging them like this.

I grew up in an area that was upper middle class and had a section of very wealthy families. I knew some girls and guys in high school who were like this. Maybe not being hauled out on the back of a manicurist but entitled, out of touch, snobby.
I can't be the only one!
I think anywhere you live, you know people who are like this. I don't think it gives LI a bad name. I think it gives some of these girls a bad name.
And most is for ratings. That one girl is a riot. I laughed so hard at the sneak peak for the season.. Where everyone is fighting and the one girl is crying and whips out her phone and she just goes "mom... Help.....me..."
I grew up in Woodbury - went to Syosset schools. I know A LOT of girls like this. Heck, I even knew one of those girls on the show in HS. She went to a different school, but everyone in neighboring towns knew her and her HOT brother ;)
Honestly, most of their attitudes and things they say didn't faze me. Grew up with it all my life. I just  at girls like that.

these girls are so pathetic. but i agree with what someone else said - it doesn't really give LI a bad name. it gives these girls a bad name.
but with that said, i grew up on the south shore and did get pretty pissed about how they make it seem like the south shore is trash.
these girls just need to relish in their 15 seconds. clock is ticking...

I know girls like this too. My husband and I watched this and we are like "Yep, we know people like this." It's sad but hopefully when they watch themselves on TV, they see what a-holes they look like.
I feel bad for my co-worker Mike who dated Chanel. They showed his picture at the start of the episode when she was talking about how she broke up with this guy. And then her family calls him a *********. He actually is a really nice guy. Just a couple years younger than her and not wanting to get married soon.
The flamboyant Jeff lives in my friend's condo complex in Great Neck! She said he was pretty cool a few years back when he first moved in and now he is strange. Stopped talking to people. They have special parking for Amanda when she comes to visit Jeff at this complex. It involves cones. LOL. But yes, he HAS to be gay. He really does enjoy shopping with them- I think he wants to BE them. My friend said Amanda has an amazing body but when you look at her up close, her face is pretty busted. That and her and Jeff fight a lot. A lot of yelling and cops have been called.

Aside from Mike, when this show started they were not anywhere near 30, it was during the summer, they had to work (or pretended to, but it was still an effort) at the t-shirt shop, and I'd rather look like a party girl then a snobby b*tch.
I personally never grew up with ANYONE like this. However, I work with a lot of 13 yr olds and families from these areas and some are DEF raised to become these girls. I don't care if you're 30 living at home. Just either a) get a job or b) go to grad school. No matter how much $ I have, there is no way my child will be ever sitting at home doing nothing (aside from maybe a year in between college and looking for a job).
In my perfect world I would force someone to spend a day, just a day in the real "ghetto's of LI". (HA! that's bravo's next show lol) They'd never make it but hopefully they'll come out as a better, more wel rounded person.
I refuse to watch this show.

I can't bring myself to watch this or give them the ratings. Even the "publicity" makes me cringe. And even though I haven't watched the show, I have to wonder how much of their "personalities" are exaggerated for ratings. The little pieces/clips I saw on Bravo seemed like they were "acting out" and saying things for the camera.

No they are not. He is younger than her. He's only 25 and Chanel is 28/29. He said she is a really cool girl and a lot of fun but he didn't want to get married yet.
