Knives in the dishwasher?

Knives in the dishwasher?
I don't put my good knives in the dishwasher, hand wash only for them. Butter knives and older cheap knives go in the dishwasher though.

Hahahahahaha! I feel like I spend all day taking out the sharp knives that my husband and in-laws (who babysit for us) put into the dishwasher. Im a fan of hand washing knives. Only butter knives go into there.

Knives in the dishwasher?
I've had the same knives for 10 years. They go in the dishwasher almost daily, and are fine. I occasionally sharpen them, like maybe once a year.

LOL our cleaning lady always puts our nice knives in the dishwasher. We leave them on the counter next to the sink until we have a chance to handwash them. My mom puts EVERYTHING into the sink including sharp knives! I almost cut myself the morning after a night she babysat and "cleaned" the kitchen by moving everything into a pile in the sink.
We have pretty nice wusthof knives and I think you can theoretically put them in the dishwasher but we were told it was better to handwash them so we do.
