Need help! I want to get Phil a set of really nice knives for the kitchen!
He loves cooking and our set is kinda cheap.
What brand should I look for and what store?
I have heard JHenckels are really good.
I would love some suggestions, bec honestly I am clueless.

Not sure if you are looking for everyday knives, or cutting knives, but my DH also loves to cook and I got him a couple of the creamic knives. I think I got them at Sharper Image in the Smithhaven Mall. They work incredibly well!!!

My FIL is a big cook and his favorite Knives are Henkels proffesional series.
You need to make sure you get the correct Henkels. They have cheaper sets, but my FIL says they are not as good.

I have Wusthofs and they are wonderful also. I think many knives are similar, but whats important is how they feel in your hand....

The only thing my DH cared about when we registered was the knives. After a ton of research we got the Wusthof knives and love them.

I have a set of Henckels but I have two knives that are Wustof. If I had to get a new set I would get the Wustof. They Henckels are front heavy which is great for carving a turkey but I like the feel of my Wustof Santoku and 4" Chef's knife for slicing and chopping.
Great gift either way though.
