iPod Touch
I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy my DH the iPod Touch for his bday ...
I can't decide between the 8gb and the 16gb.
Its a price difference of $70
Someone help me!

If price isn't an issue I'd go with the 16G so he has more space.
This is actually why I'm a bigger fan of the classic, it has 120G of memory... I'd rather have the space to put my songs and stuff on it then anything else.

He's totally been  at the commericals for the Shazzam app, the one that tells you what song is playing ... so I thought the Touch would be perfect!
He already has an 8gb ipod that he got from his parents a couple of years ago.

ETA: I only mentioned that I'm a fan of the classic b/c of the amount of memory it has.
I, personally, would choose memory over everything.
In your husband's case he wants it for the apps...even more of a reason to get the ipod with more memory as the apps take up space.

Just remember that in order to use many of the apps on the Touch you'll have to be in a wi-fi spot, so you won't be able to do it in the car, etc. It's not like the iPhone that always has a data network.

i have the 8 but i dont have a rediculous amount of songs or videos on it so its fine for me...if hes a huge music person and will have videos and applications on it then go for the 16
- im not sure if he'll be able to get shazaam though..i tried and i couldnt get it on my ipod touch (i dont think i hve a microphone in mine)

i have a 4GB ipod that hold almost 800 songs.... for me thats enough the 8gb ipod holds 1600 songs
i still use my 4gb ipod for songs so i think 8gb ipoid touch is fine i downlaoded all these applications, the internet, games, email and i hardly used ANY space...
it all depends what he is going to use it for....
be ware you can't access your optonline email account on the ipod touch.. it's not compatable... 
but you can use the optimum wifi- all over the island
BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT

We got all of our older girls the IPOD TOUCH for Christmas. We got them the 8GB one...
DH has just about fallen in love with it. We've determined that he'd need the 16GB or 32GB though...

Does he keep all of his music on his ipod? If so, definately go for the 16. I have the 8 and I ran out of space and I have to not upload a lot of my music. It's annoying.

My bad.... I just went to the Apple site and the new ones do have a speaker. DH got mine at Best Buy so it must be a 1st generation.
On another note, DH has Shazzam on his phone and it's pretty cool.
