I don't think that he's going to get along with congress. Congress thinks he's going to rubber stamp their plans, but he seems to be indicating that he won't, and I don't think his plans are nearly as conservative/republican as they expect.

It is basically impossible to tell what his plans are exactly, because he seems to be willing to abandon or revise his election promises. When he talks about healthcare recently, it almost sounds more like a Democrat's plan, e.g., yes repeal Obamacare, but then replace it with something similar but with improvements. I think his calls to repeal Obamacare are mainly because the idea of "Obamacare" is unpopular, but he knows that people actually like the ACA and the benefits they've received from it.

However, I think it would take Congress too long to actually act for an impeachment.

Part of me thinks he could resign because he doesn't want to do the job. I could see him citing his conflicts and claiming their just too hard to remove, so he's stepping down, or some other reason that would make it so he's not quitting as much as doing what's right for the country or for his business or for his family. The narrative could be that he's still the winner, he was still President, but he put his country/business/family first and resigned. However, I though he would also use an excuse like this to drop out of the race before the election even happened so he didn't run the chance of losing. I just can't believe that he actually wants to be President.

I think 4 years because everything is so slow moving and the impeachment progress is not easy. even if he were impeached , pence would take over and he's not a big step up.

The question here is not how long do you WANT him to be in office, but how long do you think he will be.

As others have said, once he's in its hard to remove him.

I also think if they are successful in repealing ACA, many of his poorer supporters will be in for a shock and will not reelect. Especially in the coal regions/middle America.

A year ago we all would have had the same reaction about him being president at all.....

He's like 70 and it won't take long before he starts fcuking up everything. Plus, he has the attention span of a toddler, he's going to tire of this gig before his 4 years are even up. NO chance he'll be around for 8 years.

All I know is it'd be lovely for him to be told "blah blah blah blah blah, but Donald... You're fired" Chat Icon
