Do you know people
Who no matter what is going on, no matter what situation may have occured....
ex...you are sitting there venting about (whatever) and yet the convo ALWAYS ends up talking about THEM and THEIR VENT, THEIR PROBLEMS
making EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM....
honestly this drives me crazy

it just drives me crazy when i go to a friend to vent about something and then a minute later i am consoling or helping out the person with whom i was talking with about THEIR ISSUES

My co-intern is EXACTLY like that! She is ALWAYS talking about herself, and always has a story to add to every conversation. We always end up talking about her and her fiance. It drives me and the other intern nuts!

Yes and it is annoying because it should be all about me I find if it's constantly like that I don't vent to them anymore because I don't need to be one upped when I'm upset.
I hate to admit it but I am guilty of this sometimes too esp. on here.

I think everyone is guilty of that at one time or another, some may not even know they are doing it. I wouldnt vent to that person anymore since you know the outcome allready!!!!

This sounds horrible to say - but I've cut off friendships with people that have too much drama in their lives. Not bad things happen, but self created dramas. Just too emotionally draining.

same here but I always wonder about her and feel bad for her and hope she is ok but I know my DH would kill me if I brought that into our lives. ( he knows her too)

I wonder about them, but can't feel bad for them. While I wish them the very best, even if they had it they wouldn't see it that way.
