Basement Progress (with pics) - New Pics page2
As you know we are finishing our basement... we are far from done but I wanted to share the progress because I am so excited  We made a tiny room for the oil burner and washer/dryer, a 1/2 bathroom, and an entertainment room.
After gutting the basement:
Beginning the framing... to the left of the stairs is a big closet and to the right is our 1/2 bath.
The framing for the oil burner room:

Sheetrock done!
This is looking down the stairs, the green towel is where the basement door will be. Previously there was no door, and the stairs came out past the wall so we couldn't add one without building the wall out.
Looking towards the door from the basement. Closet of left, bathroom on right.
The first and thrid hole will be built in shelves and the seond and fourth will be doors to give us access to the pipes and stuff behind the wall.
Pole is gone & steel beam is up! The corner where our couch will go
Our tv will go on this wall. You can alslo see the door to the oil burner room

WE PAINTED YESTERDAY!!!
The color for the entertainement room is Olive Branch (BM)
This is the floor we are putting down, maybe tonight!

Bathroom so far:
tile is not finished yet, ignore the white stuff. Color is Sage by BM.
There will be built in shelves above the toilet.

Everything looks great! We just finished redoing our basement too. Now we're working on th elaundry room, and adding a bathroom as well. I was just wondering what made you take down the pole beams? ARen't those support beams?? I was actually going to ask you what you did with them cuz we are still undecided about ours. We have one pole, but I don't think we can take it down.
We also did the shelving in the wall that you can pop out where the pipes are. That way we have access to the water and stuff like that.

We had to put up a steel beam to remove the pole. We were originally planning on leaving the pole, but we couldn't get the room layout to work without the pole being in the way.
