38th Week - Migraine Headache and Period Cramps?
So, at about 1pm, I started feeling period-type cramps. I've felt them come on about 3 times since then... not at regular intervals at all.
Last night and tonight - TERRIBLE migraine headache.
Any ideas on either/both?
I really don't even know what I'm asking... it could be the start of contractions, I guess. But the headaches are throwing me for a loop. Anyone else feel like this at this point?

I always get bad headaches with the change of hormone levels. Maybe that's why you are getting them? Your body getting ready?

I'm just about 36 weeks and I am right there with you. For the past 36 hours, I have had an awful headache and for the past week, sporadic period like cramps (only much worse). If they wrap around your back it is most likely the start of labor!

I never get headaches and I had a horrible one yesterday all day and night. It woke me up at one point during the night.
It could also be dehydration. I think that might have been my problem yesterday. Drink lots of water!!!

37 weeks and same thing! The headache the other night was killer, the cramping I keep mistaking for contractions but then they don't come back and I get annoyed, I wish they would just get closer!

LOLOLOLOL... me, too!
I keep telling my DH "This could be it"... but while I say it, I think "yeah, right". I feel like I'm making it up! lol.
I hate to say I'm glad I'm not alone since it means we're all suffering, but maybe it's "normal" for this time?
I guess towards the end, pregnancy just throws everything at ya!
By the way... my headache went away tonight. DH gave me a cold compress for my head, and it worked. And i took 1 Extra Strength Tylenol. The weird thing is, the headaches last night and tonight started when I laid down on the couch. Odd...

I am so glad I read this post! I am 37 wks and I have had a headache on and off for a week and some cramping. Of course I started to panic and imagined the worst case scenerio. But I went to the dr and they didn't seem concerned. Blood pressure is good. I feel so much better knowing other people are experiencing the same things.

Ugh I wish I felt SOMETHING! I feel like this kid is perfectly content right where he is. I feel nothing out of the ordinary but I wont be 37 weeks until Friday.

When I was in labor with my  I thought I was cramping too. It felt like very strong period cramps, but not how I imagined contractions to be. Once my water broke and I went to hospital and they hooked me up to the monitor I was told that the "cramps" were contractions! This could the start for you 
Also, the cramping happened for a couple of weeks, but were very intense for the 36 hours prior to my giving birth.
