Period like cramps at 34 weeks
Hi ladies,
I placed a call to my doctor to be safe...but i am upset at work. I had cramping for about 2 hours last night..nothing really helped (i chugged water thinking i may be dehydrated)...it wasn't braxton hicks, it was exactly the same as menstrual cramps would feel.
Do you think this is normal for this stage of pregnancy? I had been feeling pretty OK till now and am sitting at work about to cry b/c I am in a lot of discomfort...

When I asked about Braxton Hicks, the nurse described them as feeling very similar to period cramps so it's possible that is what you are feeling.

Be careful, ctx's can start off feeling like menstral cramps. You did the right thing by calling your doc. I would keep hydrating and go home and rest.

With Caiden my contractions started out as period cramps, and got worse, and I didn't think anything of it at first until about 1 hour later they were in full force!

Oh no..now i'm nervous :( Its too early for me to have this baby!! I don't have this cramping as intensely as last night, i am just really achey if that makes sense. the doctor is sending me to the hospital to be monitored, i am waiting for their call back to make sure thats what they want..

Even though you said you chugged water I bet it turns out that you are dehydrated. Feel better and try to calm down!!
