Is this a joke? An issue that literally brought the world’s operating procedures to a standing halt for over a year gets no mention because people are “so happy”?! I think it should have earned an honorable mention.

Absolutely AWFUL. First I mean the man clearly has stages of dementia. He can hardly form two coherent sentences and NO sorry, does not have a speech impediment, he DOES have mental capacity issues. The crisis at the border (yes there is a CRISIS) is out of control. Thousands of kids coming here every.single.day and piled on top of each other during a pandemic because of the promises made by our administration. Don't believe me, do a search on google to see what the migrants are saying. I don't want to even think about the amount of kids that are being used and abused by evil people preying on the weak crossing the border.
Also not a mention about COVID even though we are in the midst of a pandemic so bad that Americans can't even see their loved ones in a nursing home, thousands have lost their jobs, livelihood, savings, our kids are suffering yet at the same time we have thousands of migrants, COVID positive included, crossing our borders and being cramped in facilities at 200% + capacity.
His proposals for taxes don't look too promising for our economy either. It looks like it's not only the rich that will be paying but also the middle class....leaving most of us screwed.
We are absolutely a laughing stock.. NO ONE, literally NO ONE takes Biden seriously. We are sitting ducks...God help us.
While I agree that these are issues such as the border crisis, our national deficit...it didn't start with the Biden Administration.
There are plenty of people that feel Trump also had dementia in the early stages.
All of a sudden you are woke because it's a democratic president but NONE of THESE ISSUES are new.
Trump's policies created a back log at the border.
Trump created the biggest national deficit since WW2.
Trump is a laughing stock.
Trump was trying to secure borders where Biden openly said that he would welcome migrants which is why there is such a huge surge these past few months. Why do you think they are hiding the conditions at the border? Kids being squeezed into cages on top of each other, people crossing the border at alarming rates and the cartels giving out wrist bands...sorry this was NOT happening during the Trump administration.
Biden and his administration gave a clear signal that migrants would be welcomed, even during a deadly pandemic which is why they are flooding our borders. Lets not kids ourselves and call a spade a spade. It has nothing to do with D or R it has EVERYTHING to do with hypocrisy. You can't claim we are in the midst of the deadliest pandemic of our generation, shut down American businesses, schools and livelihood and openly welcome hundreds of thousands of migrants.
As for Trump, well he's no longer our president. I for one don't miss his tweets. They may have been mean and nasty, although true at some points, but at least they were coherent. Biden on the other hand is clearly in some stage of mental deterioration which is clearly visible to anyone with working eyeballs.
TBH, I feel bad for the dude, he's spent almost 5 decades in politics and has been through some shiiit personally. I mean I cant imagine losing a son to cancer then having another son with a severe substance abuse problem who then marries your dead's son wife...all while being in the spotlight??. IMO Biden has done his time with politics, he should pat himself on the back for whatever he did and should enjoy his golden years with his family. He has no business running America and the dems know this. There were PLENTY of better candidates to run on the ticket but they picked Biden and then thew Harris in for good measure. Why not a token black woman to push the nomination through, that fits the narrative to the T. It doesn't matter that the content was empty. Her history as a prosecutor is mediocre at best, specifically towards the minority community She did HORRIBLY during her campaign for President yet she was chosen as the VP? Someone make it make sense.
I mean at this point the D agenda is transparent and quite frankly it doesn't benefit most Americans yet here we are....so like I said God speed to us.
ETA: If you can get on the Spanish news channels and listen to the migrants and what they are saying directly. Use subtitles if you must but it's clear why people are crossing the borders at alarming rates.

Problem at border has existed forever. Don’t forget that America caused much of the destruction and destabilization elsewhere that is leading people to flee here. It’s a bad situation all around.
I worry about the adults and children stuck in the facilities. I worry about their health and safety. My heart goes out to them.

I just watched a video how an adult put 2 children, small, if I am not mistaken like 1 and 4 years old over a wall to a 14 foot fall. Thank god the border patrol had surveillance to see this happen to take care of these children.
Sorry but they have no plan for these kids and we should not be putting our resources above our own to take care of them.
They all should have been sent back years ago to set a precedence for others not to come unless they do it legally.

Actually, no it's not.
Biden has kept in place much of the immigration policy that Trump had established. What did Biden lift...the building of the wall. The "muslim ban" and he created a plan for the illegal immigrants ALREADY in this country; Dreamers. Those are the actions Biden took actions with Executive Orders.
The news reports that Biden said open borders but that is not true. That was right wing propaganda. The statement regarding this administration is that is will develop humane treatment for immigration seekers and try to unravel MMP. Biden also put forth a plan for alysum that does not require one to come to the border.
Biden has not yet withdrawn from court cases that Trump put forth to keep immigrants out.
Trump was not trying to secure borders. Trump was playing to his base. If Trump was trying to secure borders why keep foreign students out or skilled workers through his denial of visas?
Trump inherited 542K cases in immigration court and he left almost 1.3mm to Biden when Trump left office. That is almost 3x the amount.
There were caravans of migrants traveling during Trump's administration.
Does Biden have it right - who knows?
But to lay this problem at his administration and use it as a way to state mental incompetence is disturbing to me.

So, based on your logic...if we stopped allowing immigration in to this country and deported all illegal immigrants that money would be diverted to provide health care, food, housing, etc and eliminate poverty, homelessness, etc? Kind of like redistributing the funds?

I know this might be hard for you to believe but we can actually have concern for and take care of our own while also doing the same for others. You don't have to choose one group of people over the other. These are human beings and deserve to have the opportunity to do better for themselves and their children. You know, like our own immigrant families of decades ago had.

What is Biden and Harris’ plan for this as I haven’t heard anything yet? She running around laughing about everything doesn’t give us all much confidence they have things under control.

Are u inferring that every person crossing the border right now is looking for asylum? If yes, that is not the case for every migrant.

So, based on your logic...if we stopped allowing immigration in to this country and deported all illegal immigrants that money would be diverted to provide health care, food, housing, etc and eliminate poverty, homelessness, etc? Kind of like redistributing the funds?
I believe in helping Americans first. We have homeless veterans that are pushed to the side while we are spending money to house these 17,000 + children. Hiring people to have to take care of them and now educating them.
I totally agree on immigration, legal immigration. I think if you want to live in this country you should be working towards that.

As for Vets and hungry children and the health care crisis that causes much mental illness to go untreated which increases homelessness...there is money in the US. These other programs don't take away any funds for that.

There is so much to unpack with this statement.
It's patently false, first of all. We do not "take care of these people better than our own." It's a faulty, incongruent analogy anyway - what, because we give them beds? So you want to give American people beds? LOLOLOL politicians don't even want to give people healthcare.
I find it funny that people who say things like this tend to vote Republican. They'll decry some meager, half hearted help we give the persecuted and they'll say they "want to help Americans first."
Really? Ok then....
For the past 40 years, Republicans have quite literally made it their job to make sure the government does not look, for a hot second, like it is doing anything to actually help Americans. Their entire platform is based on the idea that private enterprise via tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations is what is supposed to take care of people. Except that it doesn't.
They didn't care when the data showed that "trickle down economics" doesn't work.
They didn't care when reducing the top tax rate to a fraction of what it was proved very unpopular - they just passed voter suppression laws in their state legislatures.
They don't even seem to get the message after winning the popular vote only once since 1988 (and that's WITH voter suppression.)
Nineteen eighty f!cking eight. I'm sure some people on here weren't even born then.
Look, the Democrats are FAR from perfect. But every once in a while a Dem President comes along and actually tries to do something big to help people. The recovery act. Obamacare. The rescue plan. They try to "help more Americans."
And they have to fight Repubs tooth and nail to do it.
So when anyone who votes red says "they want to help more Americans" I call ********. Because that's what you fight against. It's right in the platform. Don't take my word for it.
What you (general you) want, instead, is to make sure someone else has it worse than we do. It's literally written into the Republican playbook of the 60s and 70s - the Southern Strategy, the response to the civil rights acts.
