we looked at houses with one real estate agent 3 saturdays in a row. I would give her all the mls numbers, and she would check to make sure there were not accepted offers on any of them. Then she would map the houses out so we could hit about 10-12 houses in a day. we were very quick and only spent 10 minutes in each house.
We bid on one house wich had an accepted offer already. We bid on another house and they countered much higher, then we bid on the house we currently have now and they accepted
It was an ideal situation cause the lady who lived here already was living almost full time in florida. And we were renting and didnt renew our lease.
It took 5 weeks from when the contract was signed til the closing date...FH worked very hard busting everyone to do their part and get the ball rolling!!!

We bid on 3 other homes before our current home. We got into bidding wars on all 3. (2 of them happen to be with real estate attorneys.  )
Our 4th and final home, we offered their asking price the first day it went on the market (in the driveway) and they accepted. (There had been an offer for 5K less before us.)
This all took place in 2001. We also viewed well over 100 homes.

i bid on three houses. one was accepted but we backed out after the engineer's report. so happy we did...we LOVE the house we're buying so much more.

we bid on 3 houses before we found the one we wanted i was looking for a fixer upper and knew i was going to alot of work so i didnt want to over pay

3 offers in 2003
1- Owner wanted more -but we refused because the house had no basement & laundry was in the detached garage.
2 - House had 8 bids over asking price. Ours was the 3rd highest bid.
3 - We offered, they accepted and then negotiated down from there.

We bid on 2 and lost out on both. But in the end we were glad because we wound up with something much nicer!
