She is hardly condescending (unlike yourself who is constantly calling people "sweetie") and most of the info that you all claim is her "stalking" people, I usually just do a quick search and I come up with whatever info she is referencing. For example the most recent "out of state" thing - do a search for that poster and read her first post and it clearly states where she lives and how she came across the site. This is not rocket science and it's pretty basic internet skills.
Funny thing though, there are many of here who would wholeheartedly disagree with you. Perhaps instead of constantly quoting ONLY me in order to defend your little internet lap dog you should go back and address the countless threads and comments from many others who have REPEATEDLY called out VB's stalker like and creepy behaviors on this board.

This is such BS...yes, you're a little annoying with the whole "I don't understand why people still wear masks" crusade. But, the majority of people complain about you because you keep proving that you stalk posts/posters. I don't understand what kind of thrill you get from that?
I've been on this site for over 10 years and I don't know things about certain posters that you post. It's weird.
I can't figure out if you're an old timer who has it in for certain people or a newbie who gets her kicks by being obnoxious to certain people. SMH. Shrug. Hmmmppph.
And if anyone has a little clique- it's you. I can't wrap my head around anyone defending your behavior.

I don't know if you don't have great reading comprehension skills but where on earth are you getting the idea that I am stressed? I don't think that a website full of a bunch of strangers should stress anyone out.
Regardless, I am stressed in real life because I will be traveling for the next 7 weeks, mostly internationally and I have a sh*t ton to get done between now and 6am. But it's nice taking a break here and there to see you getting your panties in a bunch again over WW.

Masks Optional for Summer School
I still can't wrap my head around the masks should be optional argument. Foe the time being, yes they should be optional. But this Delta variant is starting to take off, its ripping through Florida. If we have to wear them again because we get another wave, then suck it up. I can't believe how many people out there feel like everything should be a choice. Sometimes, life doesn't give us choices, even if we don't like it.
And as another PP said, if you're that against masks and social distancing, get the vaccine. No, instead you want to do NOTHING except complain and talk about how viruses have mutated since the dawn of man. Yes, they have. But this virus is FAR more serious that what we deal with in normal times. 99% of the people being hospitalized and dying right now are unvaccinated. Vaccinated people are getting it but almost all are not getting seriously ill. So yes, my SIL who is a nurse said if her hospital is overwhelmed again she will absolutely blame the unvaccinated. It's one thing if you CANT. Many just don't want to because they think Bill gates us trying to poison you.

Things never change. How come its the same people arguing back and forth with one person all the time? If you don't like what Windy has to say then ignore her. How hard is that? As far as none LIers on here, i know there is a couple but i think that for LI specific questions they should not throw in their two cents. But if its not, than its fine. But again, the forum IS called LIFamilies.
Now as far as masks at school, I hope they don't have to and its only recommended. My kids have been with out one this entire Summer so far...in stores, at outdoor places and indoor places. We just came back from the museum and the mall and did not put one on nor did they. So i think it should be a personal choice instead of forced.
Thank you and yes, most kids are not wearing anyplace so the notion, at any age to require in a school makes no sense.
Agree with all of this. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, just because you don't like it doesn't make it wrong.
I never understood how anyone can internet fight with someone so hard...I mean who got time for that. If you know a poster you don't agree with is posting then just skip over it...why open it up and fight with a stranger on the internet? That is so strange to me....it's like you like the drama.
As far as masks go which was the original point of this thread I agree 100% on unmasking kids. My kids haven't been with a mask on this entire summer and I hope they never have to go back to wearing one in school. Even though kids are generally germ spreaders, with COVID that wasn't the case so why keep them masked? Every adult in the school has the option to be vaccinated so they should be protected..no need to mask the kids.

I don't have to be older or overweight or immunocompromised to take a disease that disproportionately harms others seriously.
And no--depending upon the availability of a vaccine to schoolkids and the numbers and strains of covid circulating--it may not be a great idea to have maskless kids at school in September. We will have to see.
The kids who will be spending all summer with the same children and others at camp and home.

You are so blind to the numerous other VERY VALID points this poster just made to you. Why are you so anti mask? Your kids aren't in this equation any longer as you've stated numerous times. The fact that it is even in question if kids CAN attend school without the devil that is the mask according to you is because WE GOT VACCINATED to achieve that.
Since you live out of state, what are the plans for your schools?

To answer your question, right now students and staff are still required to stay masked vaccinated or not in school buildings. May or may not change by August 11 when we go back to school, don’t really care as long as they can safely go back in person.

Maybe I was absolutely desperate after giving birth to my first DC with PPD and stumbled across this board when looking for support. It doesn’t and shouldn’t matter. If you have to be a current resident of LI to post here that’s ok. I’ll stop and feel grateful to this board and the posters that saw me through the most difficult and scary time of my life. I do feel that they shouldn’t really be posting about situations regarding Long Island specifically (ie what’s going on in our schools, our stores, etc….) if they don’t have any skin in the game or haven’t personally witnessed it for themselves.
Obviously every state is different. Heck, even parts of NY are drastically different. I think that’s a huge part of the bickering. People who aren’t currently living within the issue being discussed have such big opinions.
What's the difference with someone who lives out of state who "has no skin in the game", and someone who doesn't have children in school, which is what this post is about? They have no skin in the game either if they don't work in or have children in Long Island Schools.
It's just exhausting seeing people go on and on about vaccines and masks all while working from the comfort of home for the past year and a half. I think those of us who were actually in the middle of the madness at the height of covid, seeing the actual heartache and destruction are dealing with a bit of PTSD. We saw it, we were not hearing from a "friend of a friend" who got back a positive test result even though they were never tested or whatever nonsense was being discussed at the time.
If getting a vaccine and/or wearing a mask will move us farther from the disaster that was last year, then I guess you'll be seeing my vaccinated self wearing a mask for the foreseeable future. Especially since it's blatantly obvious that those who should still be wearing masks aren't.

I was in Florida last week - there wasn't any mention of the Delta variant ripping through the state. No one seemed any more concerned about Covid than they had in the past. I was in Palm County for the most part which has been pretty conservative in the way it handled covid but they did recently lift their mask mandate. I would think that if it were ripping through the state they would have continued the mask mandate.

Do your own research (on legitimate sites). The stats are correct. And maybe consider that the media is INFORMING people with FACTS that are scary and true. Where do you get your information from that makes it so correct, yet the "media" that you speak of is always wrong? Get a vaccine or stop complaining. If you're not a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem.
