I kept thinking about the woman who died. I saw some videos. She was trying to climb through a broken window that looked like it was part of a door that was barricaded with chairs to keep these fuckng psychos out.

How many people will be caught by the FBI and brought up on federal charges and go to prison and never be able to work again ...for Trump.

She had a choice to do what she did in life. She chose to join an extremist group. She chose to go in that building. Sadly she got killed which it didn't have to be that way. She wasn't permitted to be in that building and it seems whomever killed her was defending themselves from these lunatics.
It is much easier in life to blame others for your bad actions and wrong decisions. Not everyone is like yourself and I that know there are consequences for the actions we do in life. People mess up, yes but you can't go around blaming others for actions people choose to do.

There is an idiot I went to school with and ALL he posts now are these psychotic thigs about rioting, starting a Civil War, Trump as a prophet, etc etc. He's mental............NOW..............but he was a fairly sane human being prior to Trump. Point is, it is frightening how Trump was able to turn mostly sane, functional people into literal sheep with no ability to think for themselves anymore. It's so crazy to me that people can be so easily brainwashed to fall in line.
Also, I am endlessly fascinated by "mob mentality". Watching video from yesterday you can see many bobbleheads just wandering around kind of clueless but then as soon as anything erupted around them, like dazed and confused sheep they started following the crowd and went crazy. It was both scary and interesting to watch.

It's insanity. What is even more disturbing is the Trump supporters that are praising this and even worse, they are saying things like "this was just the beginning" and "the show is just getting started". I cannot believe the magnitude of the CULT that Trump has created.
I wish that I could say this will get better once Biden takes office but I think we have a very long road to recovery ahead of us with likely more chaos along the way.

Based on his actions - he is unfit and under qualified for a job as Senator.
You can't unite when that person doesn't follow the US constitution of which he was appointed to uphold.
And, now death threats are are a concern? How about all the rhetoric from the Trump camp that caused multiple people to fear for their lives?
ETA: Hawley should also be tried for enticing violence and insurrection. And I hope he is tried for his crimes.

No one should be threatened and people are entitled to speak their mind. But he did this to himself, he potentially ruined his career and clearly showed that he is ok with treason.

Everyone in the room went through a trauma, tried to band together and wanted to get the certification over with. Why would you still go through with the objection that you know isn’t going to go any where, waste peoples time and look like an idiot? If he was smart he should have pulled his objection that night. He didn’t even speak on it and gave up his 5 minutes, the representatives of the house just wanted their stupid 5 minutes to speak.. it was career suicide just because his ego wouldn’t let him back down and show that he sided with a maniac.
It’s all about power. In his twisted mind, he probably thought if I stay strong to my convictions then this will set me up for presidency or more political power.
All Politicians always have a personal agenda.

He deserved to have the book deal pulled, his own party is turning on him already and he's dashed his own hopes of running for POTUS and he literally just took office. It's not about having your own opinion, this is a man that fueled Trump's lies and rhetoric to further his own agenda and gain status with his base. He KNEW full well there was NO evidence and NO proof of fraud but he went along with the hysterics of Trump and is guilty of riling his base up which led to Wednesday's events.
Even after these psychos stormed the Capital Hawley in all of his infinite stupidity continued to object to the vote and $hit stir. There is blood on his hands, he's just as bad as Trump and any backlash he's getting is well deserved. He should resign, he is in over his head.
ETA - The "poor man"????? Hawley isn't a victim, he did this to himself.

No, it's not OK to threaten anyone but the point is , he is NOT a victim in this. He took the lead, brought it on himself and guess what??..........your actions have consequences. Period. He doesn't deserve to be harassed however, everything else coming his way from losing the book deal to Republicans turning on him is well deserved. Align yourself with a lying, psycho and suffer the consequences as MANY Republicans now are figuring out.
