Re: Driving to FL?

as in what time of day or what time of year?

i went from central NJ to Miami in July, 2014. we left mid morning on a week day. everyone who works was already at work and the highways were pretty darn clear. I95 was a breeze.

we stopped in atlantic city to see Lucy the Elephant. Chat Icon

Driving to FL?

My parents drive to and from FL a few times a year and generally leave Long Island by 3-4am.

We do the same. We leave around 3am and drive until we hit Savannah, GA...we stay over there and leave around 7am for FL...

Always leave between 3 and 3:30 am and get to FL back home around 9:00 at night. We stop a few times, but make it short and sweet. This way, we've had a full nights sleep and don't arrive too late when we're exhausted.
