Doc. Recommendation for a hernia?
DH thinks he might have a hernia. Does anyone have a recommendation for a doctor he can go see? TIA!

Try your primary first to diagnose it, and then if there is a hernia, DH would have to consult with a general surgeon.

This. There are a lot of things that can create pain similar to a hernia and each one has a different kind of specialist. Your DH's primary care can send him for a CT scan to diagnose it and then refer him to the type of specialist he needs. Take it from me, I wasted a few trips and 2 expensive co-pays by seeing the wrong kind of specialist. I should have went to my primary first to diagnose it.

Dr. Denoto - I personally have not used him but I work at a hospital where he does surgery and he is very good.

Dr. Richard Shinbrot in Massapequa. He has done hernia repairs for a few people in my family

First your DH should definitely go to his Primary first and be diagnosed. But I second Dr. Procaccino, he has done a few surgeries on my grandfather.
