Sirius XM radio
We're debating whether to continue Sirius after our trial period ends (got a new car). If you have it, how much do you pay? And did you get a year plan, 6 months, etc. Wondering if it gets progressively more expensive as time goes on. Thanks.

Re: Sirius XM radio
I think I pay like $10-12/month. I have the basic music package, you can pay more per month to have specialized stations, news, sports, talk radio etc. but I don't need any of that. I've my SUV a year, the price has not changed.

Re: Sirius XM radio
It gets outrageously expensive. Threaten to cancel, negotiate a lower rate to keep it going. Most every car has bluetooth to stream music and connectors to plug iPods into. That was my argument.
We have 6 months at $25, with no automatic renewal and a paper invoice. I refuse to put it on my credit card. Make sure you keep track of when it expires and do the same thing as above the day before it expires.

I recently posted something similar. I had been doing 6 months for $25 for a while and last time they said best promotion was $30 for 6 months. I make a note in my calendar to call and renegotiate day before expires. If I forget to call it bills at like $17/month.

This!
Don't pay what they post - threaten to cancel.
Often times if you do cancel they come back with an even better offer.

Thanks. Good to know. The current offer is $30 for 6 months or $99 for 12 months. This is what made me wonder about rates going up bc 12 months is more than 6 months x 2 - i figured rates went up. The fine print mentions automatic renewal. I'll call and say I don't want automatic renewal and see what they say.

Re: Sirius XM radio
I just called to renew today. I got the All Access package for $120 for 12 months and the Select Package on another vehicle for $99 for 12 months. Just threaten to cancel and never put your card on the account. I always set a reminder on my phone for a few days before my subscription is up so I can call to negotiate another contract.

This is what I always do. I just keep saying no to every offer they give me until they finally hit on one that's around $5/month. You just have to make sure you keep track of when the time is about to expire.

This...put a date in calendar to call in. The key thing is to remember to call. Also, do not let them store you card on file otherwise, they will automatically bill you at standard rates. Do invoice pricing.
I have been doing 5-6 months for 25 for quite some time. I recommend you all do that... Just say your going to cancel or I'm not paying rate. I always so, i like my current promotion. I do this on 2 cars every 5-6 months.

Sirius XM radio
I pay $99 for the year. I have it for years and love it and it's totally worth it to me! That said, they try to renew me at a crazy price every year and I never accept it. I think this year after taxes and fees it was over $200 - no way! They do always work with me on the price so they are good that way.

Re: Sirius XM radio
Thanks everyone! Continued my service for 6 months ($30). With taxes and fees it was up to $37. I did not leave my CC on file so they charged an invoice fee of $2 but the person waived it this one time. Will call just before my 6 months are up. If I can't get a god enough rate, I'm ok giving it up.
